The NewStar wheel cylinder kits that I got from OD Iron have USA rubber parts, and the correct spring. I don't have any of the NewStar loaded wheel cylinders. It would certainly be easy enough for someone that has one to check.

What could be a more common event? Go to GL to pick up your new deuce, and its brake pedal has no resistance all the way to the floor. It happened to me, and I would bet it has happened to more than a few of you.
So, you pull out your patented SS Garden Sprayer Brake Bleeder, bleed the...
Those who have read my writings on SS, probably have noticed that I choose my words fairly carefully, and deliberately.
When I used the word commandeer, I meant the colloquial definition which is to forcibly take possession of. When I used the word loot, I meant plunder or sack... what you see...
I believe that you have heard somewhere that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction... should be a familiar phrase to most people, even if they don't know what it means.
In short, when you stand on the ground, your weight is pushing down on the ground, and at the same time...
Not true for the sort of lead acid batteries used in cars and trucks. Every time you discharge them, their capacity becomes a little less than it was when new. Deep discharging them, such as when you leave the lights on until your vehicle won't start, is a killer for the battery.
The best...
I'll bug in too, for the same reasons.
My problem with the article is now the "Preppers" know what to steal. I'd rather they thought deuces were big, loud, slow and got terrible mileage.
A large part of the "Prepper" philosophy is to stock up and be prepared, but being prepared also includes...
I got the clue about the booster pump from you, so I should be thanking you. Thanks!
At that rate, you soon would have a runaway on your hands. The in tank pump has a lot of capacity, and it will exploit any leak in your fuel system to maximum effect.

The troubleshooting manual in the resources section is excellent. Do note, that it is geared to the LDS465, so there are some slight differences... most are just HP, rpm and timing specs, and the IP shown is the G type (IIRC), not the C,D,E types typical of the LD and LDT engines.
One thing I...
The FDC is basically a movable stop for the fuel pedal. When you are running a thin fuel, such as gasoline, the stop moves to allow full pedal, and maximum fuel. When you are running a thick fuel, such as WMO, the stop moves to reduce the maximum pedal motion. The idea is the FDC controls the...
I don't suppose we should start discussing degloving injuries? I knew of a guy that was sitting on the edge of a flat bed truck, and hopped off. In doing so, he caught his wedding band on a rivet, or something that stuck up from the bed. It ripped the skin right off of his finger and left the...
After you finish your trip, open your air tanks to bleed the water, and pressure. Put the transfer case in neutral. With the accessory switch off, the red starter button will do nothing. If they turn the accessory switch on, the air buzzer will do its thing, and act as an alarm.

The biggest problem with all of the coil wrapped brake line is the coil wrapping keeps the salt and dirt packed against the brake line. Every time the lines get wet or damp, the salt continues its corrosive action. I find that my lines always rust through in those areas that are coil wrapped...
One thing I have recently run into is a really wonderful brake/fuel tubing called Poly-Armour. It is easy to bend, has a nice additional plastic coating to improve its life over zinc coated tubing, and it is even olive drab in color. It is the OEM tubing used in most new cars today.
However...
There is a big problem with buying cheap Chinese tools... snatch blocks included. The Chinese rely on you believing that appearance is the sole determination of fitness for use. A cast iron snatch block painted all pretty looks as capable as a forged steel snatch block.... it weighs the same...
The way the standard deuce lock is built, if you move the inside lever in one direction, it will open the door, but if you move it in the opposite direction, it will stay in that position, locking the outside door handles. The purpose of this "combat lock" is to keep those that don't wish you...
