    Any Regrets Bobbing Your Deuce?

I cut up a real nice one. I love it. It drives, accelerates, stops, parks and four wheels like a big bad 4X4. In stock form it drove, accelerated, stopped, parked and four wheeled like a bus.

    Lifting and 53's

I agree! Lower is better. What degree could you traverse with 53's and an 8 inch lift? I'll bet it's not much. I have 53's with ONLY a 2 1/2 inch spring lift and nothing rubs. The front tires do come within an inch of the back side of the fender wells when they are turned all the way and...

My lights get brighter on my A3......

My voltage occasionally surges too when my headlights are on. I don't think there is any relationship to the compressor though. The voltage meter always sits right where it should in the green without the headlights on. I have noticed when the headlights get brighter the meter is pegged to...

    Bobber 20K PTO Rear Winch

This is the rear winch finished...for now. I suspect I will re-do the exhaust and make it 'higher and tighter' when I get the time.

    Bobber 20K PTO Rear Winch

I did end up using the original cross member. I wasn't able to use the 20K fairlead because it stuck out too far. Nor was I able to keep the pintle hook as it is where I mounted the fairlead. I will post a couple of pictures when I find my camera.

    Electric winch

First of all, I do believe a PTO driven winch is stronger and more dependable than an electric winch, all day long. But, I took my PTO winch off and replaced it with a 24V 16,800# electric winch for the following reasons. Ninety nine percent of the time, I use the front winch for pulling out a...

    Bobber 20K PTO Rear Winch

I did have to move one tank, other than that, it's a pretty straight forward fit.

    Bobber 20K PTO Rear Winch

I got the PTO together with the right gears and the shaft hooked up. Now I need to figure out some linkage so I can use the PTO in/out lever in the cab.

    Bobber 20K PTO Rear Winch

I probably will use the rear cross member , just haven't got that far along yet. The two angle braces however won't fit because the winch is in the way. I can't slide the winch any further forward because of the spring perches. This whole rear winch thing started with trying to get the weight...

    Bobber 20K PTO Rear Winch

No, I didn't get the mount plates with the winch. I used the front bumper extensions. I cut them in half, flipped them around, and slid them into the frame making it 'boxed'
