My question is :after going to a few shows I find myself looking at the 5 tons and thinking .....crazily........it might be fun to have one. And I see SO many of you folks...

    Steering Arm Hardware for M35A2

Take a picture of yours and post it for us to see. If some bonehead put it together WITHOUT the tapered cones it will keep loosening up. EVERY vehicle you buy needs a thorough checkout, these trucks are old with too many unskilled hands playing "mechanic". They're heavy too and steering and...

save M715 original or making it practical ?

It's YOUR vehicle so do what you want with it......BUT since you asked: These vehicles are all part of history and one day will be extinct ( look at all the surplus aircraft after WW 2, where are they?). Most younger folks today have no interest in history so it's only getting worse. IF...

Smaller steering wheel........UPDATE!!!! I'm considering going to the smaller 18" size steering wheel in my Deuce for space considerations. It doesn't have power steering, I know it will be a bit harder to turn but I still have some "juice" left in me  I'd like to hear from you folks that...

What am I looking at here?

If you look about 6" to the right of the hole, you'll see a plug. That's the plug you put into the whole for water fording ( it's in a blind hole).

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Today I re-installed the drivers wiper air motor that I removed and cleaned. Pretty much all it needed to work again, and also installed 2 new 12" blades and all wiper air hoses. Wipers working the way they should, next will be all brake hoses and remote brake fluid reservoir.

    Highway handling

Negative, that's incorrect. Mechanic here with over 25 years exp. ALWAYS a little toe in, keeps the vehicle from wandering and helps " point it" down the road straight. No more than 1/8" total toe in.
