Welcome to you to! I've been to Charleston as well. Are you purchasing your M35 Clark truck parts in Poca?

This article was also in Military Vehicles magazine. I have a pretty complete collection of them upstairs. This is a pretty good example of his (Steve Turchet) earlier writing where it was fun to read (later articles are much more technical "how to" stuff) I can remember reading this one and...
There was a guy who lived a little ways south of me who at one point had 4 HSTs. Three were M4s (one was operational-got to drive it:driver:) . The other two were parts vehicles. He eventually sold the three M4s but kept the larger experimental tractor (M4A2) that at the time, was in excl...
Detroit (MI) SWAT had/has a Dragoon 300 that they use all the time. if this is for a dept (got that impression) you may want to check with them on how they registered it.

Thanks for the reply. I guess it's the 8" that does it (no jokes, please ) The 800 (& 900) series trucks just look so much larger to me. It's been around 10 years since I've seen an M54 up close so maybe the memory has faded a little.

The AFV I'm restoring has it's bridge plate painted directly on the hull...
I remember seeing it on there (ebay) and I too thought it was a "cool concept" vehicle.
I've also heard that Chuck Norris has a nite light. Not because he'sa afraid of the dark, but because the dark is afraid of Chuck Norris...

The flame thrower variant of the M48 family was the M67. There is/was an example sitting behind the APG museum a couple of years ago. I'd have to check my references again, but I think the fuel used was napalm and the crew was reduced to three-no...

Congratulations! I'm glad you had a good time at the show, people responded to your "beast" in a positive way and you took home a trophy to boot!
A friend of mine used to do the local car shows near him (up in Jersey)...

I'm affraid that anything like that over here is already in the hands of collectors (like Frank Buck or or the late Jacques littlefield) Not much armor domestic or foriegn laying around stateside (unless you count impact ranges;-)) . I'm just curious here, what are...
Yes they can be driven on the road legally. However, I would recommend that if you do, you should always have a "spotter" ride with you as the driver's view is very limited (non existant to the rear) even with the front hatches opened. If you do purchase this machine, I think I have some manuals...
