Does anyone here know if the fuel pump on the goat is a left or right hand.

Hope to driving it by May, may not have brakes.

New valves are on the way from Dieselpro, looks like they got about everything a fella could need for the old 353. Got behind a little again and sidetracked by a generator and a mule, but I am back on it.

Yeah it's dead, wire from points to coil is burned up, looks like it bounced around in there for a bit, burn marks inside the case. Using my multimeter and spinning the mag by hand gettin hardly any reading off the coils

I have been calling him all day, is he hard to contact? Does he have another job or something? I am not complaining just wondering if there is a better time to try and contact him.

Picked up a pretty decent mule with a dead mag, everything else looks pretty good. Where is the best source for a new or rebuilt magneto? Thanks

Red River has the shells brand new fairly cheap, don't remember exact price. Not sure about the frame, call Blake at RR and ask.

Well Christmas is over so back to work, talked to my engine guru today. Said he had all the valves out of the head, looks like no damage anywhere besides the valves. After conferring with his pals in the shop the best guess is it was an over-rev that caused this, no way to know for sure.

Wow, big bummer. Just got off the phone with Saturn and he is out of fuel pumps for the 4a084 engine. Isn't the fuel pump for a mule the same? I also have a 24v facet military fuel pump like the ones on mep-002 and the mep -003 I wonder if this would work?

Looks like a nice rig, hoping mine will make power, waiting on a new carb from Saturn.

Anyone else here still using a mep-018 for anything other than a doorstop?:mrgreen:

Ok thanks, that makes sense to me. I was still in the Army when they made the switch to 15/40 it replaced everything else we used to use.

I only ever saw the light with red lens in the old M88, maybe the 578 had them too,
