Anyone buy one off gsa out of okieland today? I was about to pull the trigger on the sand colored one, but for me right now recovery would be difficult so I passed, probably a big mistake.
I feel your pain on finding broke stuff! I think I am over the hump on the engine though, don't think there is anything else broke.
So hope to have mine back together and running by next month.
Still working on the engine, my no. 3 valve guide was missing, strange! And the fuel pump drive is bent, probably related to the incident that bent the valves. So gotta get those parts ordered and hopefully put her back together and ground hop it by early next month. Then should be ready to go...
Yeah if we were closer together I would hook you up, I really bought it for the voltage regulator that I am gonna put in my mep-018, but I do have a mep-016a so guess i will keep it around for spares.
Who says you can't find nothin good on craigslist? 25 bucks, and still has the voltage regulator.
He said it was his grandpa's project, after his death nobody knows what happened to the rest.
Not sure about any covers that would cross over, I am thinkin about it myself.
I have a source local to me, she has made some canvas for members in my club for different vehicles, but I will need to get dimensions from an original cover.
I think I prefer the look of the aluminum hood, the steel hood really changed the look of the truck, and it's really heavy compared to aluminum one.
I think the insert for the windshields is the same on both, the one out of the steel hood is in pretty good shape if you could use it.
That panel looks nice, any more of those available?
I would give you my steel hood, it is straight but you would need to figure out a way to fix the hinge.
