My second M915a1 I bought from andy1234 outside St Louis and drove it home without a single scale open either, stopped in Oklahoma and picked up one of my M871 trailers. 1150 mile trip no problems.
I forgot to mention, when i picked up my M915a1 in Topeka, my father followed my back in the pick up we drove out there to get it. In one of the small towns we passed through a local cop pulled him over wanting to know why he was following that military truck so closely. kinda funny.
I drove my first m915a1 from Topeka Kansas, all scales and check points were closed. Of corse I have my class A CDL and all paperwork and insurance in order just in case. Only had to stop for toll roads points. Here in New Mexico and when I run to El Paso Tx, the DOT waves me through the check...

said they were pulled and would NOT be realised at a later date. So who knows?
Yes its important. A friend of mine recently got a flat on his lowboy trailer and since it was the outer tire be just pulled it off and ran single about 150 miles to where he was headed. Not thinking he never checked the singled tires pressure and needless to say the tire was almost completely...
I just ditched my 6tl batteries in one of my M915A1 tractors. They were interstate
6tls I had bought new when I picked up the truck. Took them back to an interstate distributor
and he said according to his book they are only listed at 420 cca! Dang I sure thought they'd be far more than...
It looks like this trailer is a conversion from some other type of trailer, as one member had said possibly "missle related". It has hydrolic fittings and hoses, and several mounting brackets under it. The "flatbed addition" looks to be well constructed. Still no sign of a data plate.
