    Winch filter

-the winch and transmission fluid do not intermix. The winch hydraulic fluid is OE10 hydraulic fluid, source; Tractor supply. As mentioned by Fasttruck, you NEED to get the maintenance documents that support your truck; LO TMs parts manuals. These documents can be found on the web, in hard copy...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Tbar, I believe your truck was just a M923 with 11.00 x 20 tires. A1s & A2s have the same tire; 14.00 x 20. hence they share the same spare tire carrier. You upgraded your tires and I came and picked up your 11.00 x 20s. JC

Tbar, Nice work, hopefully you have a "soldier B" assisting? You wouldn't be the first guy found knocked out (or worse) next to your truck.

    Bought a M998, advice please

Welcome to the madness. Nice truck. I would bypass the restoration idea and go right to enjoying it with your 3 boys. Find the lube orders and service it first. Get everyone checked out in it, and head out for some recreational use. Have fun, be safe.

    Battery Relocation

You will need the replacement side brackets and frame supports. The battery box is very tall compared to the tool box. The braces and brackets that support the bat. box are about 2" longer. You may be able to cut and splice the existing bracketry.

    M109A3 to M35a2

Takes an afternoon with a couple buddies. A crane would be real handy. It can be removed without a crane. Block up the box and drive the truck out.
