That thang is shweeet! It is so nice to find a gem in the rough like that. Not too many quarter-centurian vehicles that are rust free nowadays. Lookin' good buddy.
I've been having a problem with my password. I have had to re-set it probably not less than 20 times over the past few months. I always re-set it to the same password, so I know it is not a matter of my sinility getting the best of me. Anyway, this last time I have re-set it to a different...
I think I would lean towards a bobbed M35A3 with a custom-made camper in the box. A couple of guys on here have put the portable shelters in the bed of their rigs. A bobbed deuce with a Caterpillar wouldn't necessarily be faster, but it would be able to keep up it's top speed more easily, and...
Welcome aboard. I have 5 deuces, one of which is an M109A3, and it definately is a keeper. The only problem with it is the extra weight of the 12' box opn the back makes her a bit sluggish even when she is not loaded, and a definite pig when she is loaded. Another thing is the mileage, or lack...
I grew up in Brooksville. Graduated from Hernando high school in 1983. Were you in my class by any chance? (Yes, I know most people think I have no class)
I second that motion. While I don't have 70 acres, I do have 10 acres in High Springs, FL and another 6 in Ohatchee, AL, so if anyone is nearby either of those two places and is getting flack for keeping an American Icon in their neighborhood, just shoot me a PM and let me know how many you need...
Man, I hope he doesn't break anything on my A3 when I go to pick it up. It is the one missing a headlight and has the hardtop. As far as I could see, all the tires still held air in the pics, but I will be bringing a set of batteries and if the ones in it are dead, I WILL change them out before...
Haven't read all the posts here, so it may already have been suggested, but I would change all lubricating fluids to synthetics to not only decrease wear, but also give better mileage and better temps during continuous driving. If you have any wron gaskets or seals, you would need to replace...
I've only had problems with them once when an EUC hadn't cleared in 60 days. I called them and said my name was David Stadanko and I was going to be representing Mr. _____ in a small claims case against them but I would like to try and resolve this problem without going to court. I was put on...
I don't need to see more pics, I'm finished, and looking for a cigarette (even though I don't smoke)rofl
Anyway, not sure if it is possible for you to relocate, but CA is probably the worst state to live in if you're unemployed. Have you ever hurt your back or had any other injuries (The...
I just tried the link at the beginning of this thread and it comes up with "The item you requested is not available at this time". Is there a part number one needs to search?
Almost forgot. I would also replace the steels as well as friction plates during the rebuild. That particular model is rather hard on it's steel. Koleen steels and kevlar bands would not be a bad choice either if you ever plan to run a big-block in front of that.
I would say a prayer of thanks for that score. You have a $1000 upgrade there as far as I can tell. You might want to invest in a new solenoid before you install it in the vehicle with the money you saved. If it were me, I would get a new torque converter and do a filter change on the 3L80 (AKA...
I would have guessed it cost $101 at least
I'm sorry, but I have to agree with DH on this one. Any mods I do to my trucks are done with only one thing in mind: Respect for the MV itself. If it does not improve the looks or performance, I wouldn't do it. So you saved a couple of hundred...
I'm in the same boat, but I don't have the luxury of being inside a nice shop like yours. Started out with a simple lift mod and have rebuilt front axle, resealed entire engine along with new timing chain, rust-proofed floorboard then insulated and carpeted interior along with stereo system by...
