Same thing happened to me once. After a whole bunch of diagnostic work, turned out I had too much air in the tires! Check your tire pressure, and if it is over 45 PSI, that's your problem. :shock:aua
I'll be keeping the M109 and the winch deuce down here for a while WM. I got permission from one of the local construction company owners to haul away some old concrete to use in one of our entrance ways that was washed out. That was really fun stuff yesterday in 95-degrees w/ 100% humidity. I...
I'm still in hades, er, Florida. I almost got in trouble with a game warden today for swatting the state bird when it landed on my arm and tried to suck some blood. I'll be back in Bama, where I belong, next Wednesday. Wattup with you?
I'm retarded, er, retired, so a better job is outta the question. Now as for a different wife, you may have a point. We were watching some TV movie today about a couple where the woman thought her husband was cheating, when in fact he was not, and she told one of her girlfriends she did that for...
Legal's never been my scene. If you do try to get away with it and get pulled over, one possible excuse to tell the LEO might be you accidently got on before you realized it, and was just looking for the next exit.
Here's one fer ya: He was in the Army back when the Dead Sea was only sick!
As far as hummers go, I love 'em. I usually only get one once a year on my birthday though... ever since I got married.
All the powers that be need is a few problems with civi-driven MVs to make them difficult or impossible to register. I would hope to never give them any ammunition. In the town where I live in Florida, High Springs that is, there is a law against using Jake brakes. Even though non of my trucks...
I have the same problem with one of my deuces. Haven't had the time or sweat to get out in the Florida heat and figure out what is going on yet, but I do know all of the bulbs are good to go.
Good info to know. I do plan on the u-joint to replace the rag. Right now I am trying to figure out how to build the rear springs to give the proper amount of lift without making them too stiff. I have the rear shackle flip from V4x4, which should give about 2" of lift. From the measurements I...
On your steering box, did you tap it yourself, or did you order one with it already done. I still need to do that part on mine, and was going to order one for an '87 4x2 suburban with 6.2 diesel and see how that works out.
What length are your springs in front and rear? [thumbzup]
What about a couple of sections of 1" PVC pipe? They can easilly be drilled and have small bolts run through them to act as guides for locating the pipes where you would want them to keep form.
I knew someone would have to take offense at my sparse attempt of humor. When I tried to play golf once, and looked like I was trying to kill a snake when teeing off, one of my buddies asked me if my husband played, and I thought that was a pretty funny comment that would be appropriate for 3...
Okeydokey, I think it is time to unsubscribe this thread. I keep getting emails from it and it has finally dawned on me, no offense, but it is really about as interesting as watching grass grow. I have broken taps off in parts before, and been able to get them out. If not, I don't think I would...
Have you ever seen a front driveline take off when either the u-joint or yolk breaks? I don't think I would trust that old yoke any further than I could throw the axle it goes to. If you've already heated it to cherry red, it will more than likely be the first thing to break when you need it the...
You would think someone would invent a key-needed electronics switch that would be a direct replacement for the battery on/off switch that has to be turned on in order to crank the engine. Hmm... maybe I'll talk to a locksmith.
Just a little FYI: Rottweilers were bred to help dispose of bones...
That is one sweet-looking CUCV! Makes me jones for getting mine done. I picked up the rear 63" springs from the junkyard a couple of weeks ago, but now I am working on dog pens at our new house in Florida, along with getting my deuces moved down there. Anyway, looks good, and gives me some...
I bought 700' and 70 poles, some of which were bent, for $1500. We have chickens up here on our place in Alabama, and they like to go over to our closest neighbor's house and dig in their flower beds, so I needed to put up at least a 6' fence on that side of our property. 500' will cover about...
