    Heater Hose Connections

Nice truck. Congrats! Here's a question... In the picture below of your truck, it shows the heater connected to the upper connection on the right. I thought you connect it to the lower one on the pump? I am just about to run my heater lines and I don't want to incorrectly connect it.

    Flow of deuce heater core.

Does anyone know the flow pattern of the heater core in the stock heating system? How much of a pain do you think it will be to purge the air out of it upside down? I believe I may have to solder a bleeder on the (stock) bottom side.... I would just like to avoid that if all possible.

    Need Internal Voltage Regulator

The internal regulator of the deuce alternator has failed. It apparently failed sometime ago... The stock regulator is fused to the back cover of the alternator cover with electronics goo. Does anyone know where to get a replacement regulator. How about an after-market version if they are...

Fuel Pressures | Lack of Power Issue

From the day I drove the Deuce home from Georgia, the truck has been suffering from a higher RPM range loss of power (About 1800 RPM+). For sometime I wasn't sure that there was an issue (Being that this is the only Deuce I have driven). It can barely reach 55 MPH on flat road. If you start...

    Advice on Evaporator Housing Idea

I have finished making the brackets and whatnot for my A/C compressor. Compressor is now installed on the truck and ready for the next step... I am trying to figure out an evaporator housing. At first, I was planning on only having A/C with no heat. Being that it is starting to get cooler...

    Weight of stock tires...

I found a good deal for 11 brand new 9.00x20 NDTs for $35 each. I have to drive 8 hours each way to pick them up and I am trying to get an idea if I am going to bring the trailer. Does anyone have any idea on How much each tire weighs?

    Another Relisting....

It looks like the orginal truck I wanted to buy is back up for auction. It jumped to $4K, so I never had a chance to bid. Looks like it didn't sell. Relist: http://cgi.govliquidation.com/auction/view?id=898677 Original: http://cgi.govliquidation.com/auction/view?id=799544

    Extra Documentation

A few weeks ago I was working on the Deuce and flipped up the driver's seat bottom. Low and behold, there was a packet marked Urgent all over it. Unfortunately, it was completely wet and a mouse had made a nest out of it. I pull it out and I was able to recover two documents and a floppy...

Removing Paint on the Gauge Faces

I am starting to clean up/repair the instrument panel on the truck. When they quickly repainted the truck, they poorly masked off the gauge glass. Now I am trying to remove the paint off the glass and metal surrounding. Can the glass/plastic be purchased separately from the gauges? Does...

    A little, Nice Surprise

I picked up the Deuce on Thursday. Everything went well. Swapped in new batteries, and it fired right up! It even had a full tank of fuel. As I was installing the new batteries, the very nice site manager handed my wife the truck's SF97. But wait! - My auction stated no SF 97 provided...

    Weigh Stations

When I go pick up the Deuce, The shortest path home is I-85 North the whole way. But what's the deal with weigh stations? Do I have to stop at them? Is there a good chance of DMV pulling me over for not stopping even if I don't have too? :( I won't be pulling anything of have anything in...

what's the deal with mounting Deuce Tires?

Please excuse my ignorance on the subject. Why is the split wheel dangerous? From what I am guessing, the dangerous part is when the bead of the tire seats on the rim? What fails when this happens? The bolts, the rib of the wheel brakes a part? I have never seen anyone mounting a tire on...

Umm, Such a short VIN #?

Hello everyone. I am strongly looking at buying a Deuce. :D The one thing that has got me is that the vin is listed as "012521542" on the auction. Are Millitary vin numbers not 17 digits? ...Or is GL only listing the last 9 digits of the VIN?
