Keep in mind that this is an ldt engine which has a different cam than the lds which I'm sure makes a difference in performance between the two(an entire discussion on that somewhere else).
The lds pump with its advance timing caricteristics i believe brings the ldt performance and power band...

I agree there must be other differences, the HH for one, the smoke cam comes set up different also.
I'll look for other physical differences in the ip tm.
The replacement lds IP did eliminate the issue I was having.
I was considering 1200 to slightly higher rpm's more midrange (i think this is what I ment! :D),this range is where (before Lds pump) when pulling the trailer it would struggle the most when encountering hills, there is definitely...
Got it all put back together last night!
Took her on a shakedown cruise today about 30 miles and she runs and sounds great!
I'm excited to see how she pulls the Taj!
There seems to be a lot more power around 1200 to 2000 rpm's, I'm thinking because of the lighter spring tension in the advance...

This was the first ip I've had to remove while in frame, man there's a bunch of components to deal with before the pump can be pulled!
I bet next time it will go much quicker!
It does seem higher pressure would be harder on the HH, my truck has always run strong with these injectors at 3500psi! I am now replacing my injection pump (to an Lds pump) due to an ip issue, but probably not related to these injectors.
