Not sure exactly the issue with my code E pump but I suspect it's govener related,I looked inside but didn't see anything obvious.
I had the code B Pump with correct HH given to me by hemichallenger (thankyou)
But missing the advance assembly, thanks to gimpyrobb I now have the correct code B...
I've been having an issue with the code E injection pump on my Ldt deuce tractor and would like to replace it with an Lds code B Pump i have on hand, will this work?
Searching through tm 9-2815-210-34, I find the Lds pump advance unit springs are shorter and have a lighter compression rate than...
Remove the fdc so you can see down in there, the shaft assembly should pull right out with the removal of the idle adjustment screw and 4 plate screws.
This should do it.

You can pull the govener housing off to replace the shaft assembly, i believe this can be done in frame without pulling the entire pump.Do you need parts?
Good idea cutting off the outside handle lock tab, i worried about being locked in as well!
It might be funny to lock someone in and pull down the blackout panels, if they didn't panic!
Don't know if it's been mentioned, with the multifuel lacking oil pressure for about 5 sec after starting, it's a possibility that these dry starts could cause exsessive ware, especially on top end components.
I'm doing all of this now, just had the heads off so was able to inspect the condition of internals.
Took a set of injectors that I had from a spare engine and had them tested, they were all worn out and leaked, took the ones out from my runner to have tested, they all were in good shape and...
So before starting the teardown I changed fuel filters resulting in no change, figured that.
Also pulled injectors and had them pop tested, all of them (two hole) were in perfect condition and popped at 3500 psi with no leakage!
So now the ip is coming off for further inspection and replaced...

She was refurbished and completely painted 3 years ago, looks all shiny underneath now being all oiled up from the recent trip on a blown head gasket!
