cranetruck...That's what I posted...:) A Tee fitting in the hose to the heater core going to the IN on the filter base and then a Tee fitting in the hose going from the heater core back to the radiator with the filter base OUT line tapped in....
The heater hose from block to heater core should...
I'm throwing in a coolant filter to help get rid of all the junk in my system. I flushed it several times today and sediment still is visible so it can't hurt..:)
I just want to verify that the filter feed line IN should tap into the heater hose for the "block to heater core" line and the...
Does anyone happen to have a pic of the socket guts for the Volt gauge?
As I was tracing down non-functioning dash lights today I discovered that the grey wire for the Volt gauge light socket was ripped out of the back of the plastic socket and the wire was hanging down behind the dash taped...
Thanks for the tips...:) I actually did use a wire wheel on it and no go... All the wire wheel did was polish the gasket material to a nice shiny surface...LOL. Made it look like rust. It was hours of scraping with a razor blade and Aerokroil that worked in the end....
I actually tried heating it up with a heat gun. It was definitely as hot as it would get under normal operating temps. It didn't help. I will check the PB blaster product out.
Thanks
So I was putting in a new thermostat today. I picked up a Napa unit(which they had to order) which is made by Stant and was really pissed when I got it home, pulled it out of the box and saw it was made in China...
So does anyone know what brand of thermostats are still made in the good...
Well,
I decided to change the hoses, thermostat and give a vinegar flush to my newly acquired M1009. Normally this would be an easy job...normally. Well not today...
It stated out with the bolts on the thermostat housing being seized and I mean really f'in seized. I soaked and soaked the...
Thanks...:) I'm all good. I just wanted to point out that the schematic has a typo...LOL.
The wire from the GP resistor is obviously 8ga....not .8 which is 18ga as it's listed on the schematic....
OK...I have read as many of the posts as I can stand now on the GP 12v relay "bypass the resistor and connect to the firewall 12v source" mods...:cookoo: but I do thank all for their earlier informative posts.
My question is simple and I just want to confirm what I think is a typo in the TM...
cpf240...Thanks for the advice. I was reading the other threads and did catch the note on orientation of the lines. I just like to use correct items if I can but I will probably hook the lines up directly as mentioned...:)
Hopefully there is a cache of these somewhere...LOL.
doghead...Way ahead of ya....:) I did Google it at length. I typed in GM 22506637 and actually did not come up with much at all unfortunately. I tried just the part number by itself and with GM. Some NSN listings came up as well but just info. Not available somewhere.
I did read on another...
Hello all,
Does anyone know where I can get the part number 22506637 shown in the pic below new or maybe a substitute that would work? Mine is broken and I believe it's affecting my trans shifting. The number 22506637 comes up as a GM part that's no longer available... FITTING TRANS VAC MOD...
I'm curious warm kind of warm up time everyone tends to give their trucks before they actually drive off from home in the AM. I know it's not good to let the trucks idle for long periods but what is considered a viable warm up time before driving off? Obviously ambient temp is a factor but is...
Cool...Thanks for the info...! Yes...as you mentioned, I had heard the same thing about the Fluidampr. The cost is way out they for me anyway. I can do a lot of other thinks to the truck for the money...:)
I assume the Delco one is just the standard GM part number...correct?
Can you list the...
