Yup...that label is exactly what is on the outside of the main box. Identical...:)
Dimensions are the same as well.
Thanks for the confirmation photo...!
I went ahead and grabbed it. I figured since it's sealed up and I'm gonna put it away for some time why not?..:)
Here are the pics of it in the sealed bag and the info on the tag. It's in a box inside the foil bag but you can tell that it's bolted up to the plywood board as I have seen them new...
Only one...:(
A reasonable price is subjective. For me...to have the correct series pump and a new one at that is worth a few hundred bucks.
I am just trying to determine if the pump is new and original....LOL.
Hi Warthog,
Thanks for the info.
The pump is still sealed in the bag. If I remember correctly it has a date code sticker of something like 5/91 on it. It appears to have been shipped form Stanadyne this way.
Were new pumps delivered this way to the military?
What do you consider a...
I recently have run across a Stanadyne pump DB2829-4521. I know this is for the CUCV's. The pump is still sealed in a big foil bag and boxed. All the NSN numbers, Model numbers etc. are on the box and it feels like the pump is bolted to a plywood board inside the foil bag.
Were new injector...
As far as adding 2 stroke marine oil...I have been adding 4oz. to every 5 gallons of Jet A and the truck runs great and I have been running solely Jet A since I bought the truck. I've run probably 100 plus gallons so far. I have a little mystery brew that I run now since I have been doing...
So after some searching I came up with some puzzling info. The TM lists the Trans governor part number as a 8629227, 2520-01-151-3857. When I search this NSN number I also get a GM part number of 8679975 which I believe is probably the part number used in the M998. This part number also comes up...
ralbelt....I send you a colossal thanks!!! I did as you suggested and it allowed just enough clearance to get the tube out....not much...maybe a 1/16 of an inch but enough. I had no room to trim it down though but I got the new seal and tube in no problem.
For some reason this project really...
So F'in frustrated...Trans fill tube seal...Help...!!!!
Ok...doing this job....I was able to get the bolt out that clamps the fill tube to the transmission but how in the **** do you get the fill tube out to put the seal in....!!!
I have tried everything. Removed the vacuum line for the TPS...
Ok...now I'm really confused...LOL. I just picked up a new timing chain set from Cloyes and they don't list a different number for the set on say a '84 model versus a '90. It's the same part number.
Same for my Fluidampr...It fits 6.2/6.5 '82 thru '93. Is it a timing cover post 1993 needs the...
I have not installed the Fluidampr yet but will let you know...:)
Peninsular offers a inproved water pump which they're out of right now. It's actually for their marine engine applications. It has a higher flow rate but not as high as the regular high output model. It is a correcft V drive...
Well...I'm not sure...LOL. I have an opportunity to pick up a nice cover as a spare. One does not have the area for the crank trigger on it and I was told it's off a 6.2 HMMWV. The number cast on the front is 14024202, The other I'm told is off a 6.5L later HMMWV and the number on the front is...
Ya...I'll be doin' it soon along with a bunch of other things...LOL. I went ahead and took the plunge on a Fluidampr since one of the A&P's raves about them here and I can always reuse it for another build. It will be interesting to see what difference it makes. I have a brand new factory GM...
Hey all,
Can the later timing cover from a HMMWV with the crank trigger pickup be used on a M1009? The only difference I think I see is that the later cover has the mounting boss/hole for the crankshaft pickup on the drivers side behind the timing indicator bracket. If one needed to replace...
Thanks for the info. I don't think my leak is due to a bolt into the water jacket. I think it's just plain leaking around the water jacket where the timing cover mates to the block on the passenger side.
The civy gaskets are a great tip. I've never been fond of no gasket on sealing surfaces...
So I was under the truck today checking on some items and found a coolant leak that has me dreading things to come.
I kept finding coolant at the very front of the oil pan which had me puzzled as to where it was coming from. I decided to get the super duper Surefire flashlight out and start the...
I was underneath the truck this morning and decided to take a really good look at the harmonic damper. I noticed that I have some cracking of the rubber visible on the back side with a couple of very small thin pieces missing. On the front I don't see any bulging of the rubber anywhere...
