a new alternator and now it doest start

Sounds like it was not an isolated ground alternator. When buying a CUCV alternator always check for continuity between the ground terminal and the case. If you have continuity and it was sold as an isolated ground return it immediately (or take it apart and modify it into an isolated ground).

    Solargizer

Auto glass will cut down on the amount of solar energy reaching the photovoltaic panel. I have a photovoltaic battery charger and it goes from half scale on the dash to full scale when on the hood (exactly what the scale means in terms of absolute power I don't know). Nice truck BTW.

    bad day electrically

I put the disconnect in the 24V line going to the starter solenoid. The switch is in the cab so I can reach it right away. While cranking the engine with the key (simulating stuck relay) a flip of the switch kills the voltage to the starter solenoid and the starter stops. That or the doghead...

My CUCV is running just fine thank you!

My M1009 was marked "Mississippi County Sheriff 3/4". It had been serviced in the fall of 2007 (based on what was written on everything including the air filter). According to the mileage written on the fuel filter it had about 1200 miles put on it from the fall of 2007 until I bought it at...

common problems w/ your m35 when you picked it up.

Everything I have purchased has been labeled H7. The deuce had been in service until it was driven to the Jeff City GL lot from KC in June of 2008 and I drove it off the GL lot in December 2008. The motor was rebuilt in 2006. It has 5 new tires, 2 near new tires, new rear brake cylinders, a...
