    Depressing day

Before I replaced the rubber the drivers window went down fine but on the way up it popped out at the top. I had to pull it in with one hand while cranking with the other. It is an alignment issue. Look at the bolts that hold the tracks in place. There is some room for movement when the...

    Depressing day

I could not get the rubber fully seated in the tracks without pulling them out of the door but I did not remove the windows. I removed the front track (complete with the wing window) and made sure the rubber was fully seated in the track and that the metal tab was in the proper position at the...

    Depressing day

When you installed the new rubber did you completely remove the tracks from the door? When I did that to mine it was much easier to remove the tracks to install the rubber then put the tracks back. It took a couple of tries to get everything line up just right around the top of the door frame...

    Charging issue!

The alternator can be an isolated ground alternator (negative lead is not connected to the alternator case) but the drivers side negative output needs to be connected to a bolt on the engine as that is the connection for the negative ground system (the black wire running to a bolt on the...

Wait to start light, other questions

The wait to star light should not come on when it is warm. It should come on when cold and you should here/feel the solenoid engaging. You should also see the voltmeter drop down when the glow plugs are energized.

    Amateur Radio

Thanks! I have been interested since I was a kid but it has taken quite a while to get here. I think it was my involvement with community emergency response that has motivated me to take the test. Next on the list is to learn to weld.

    M35A2 Brake line Size

Copper.org pushing copper lines whoda thunk it.... Not attacking just pointing out that if steel lines were so dangerous the lawyers would have driven them out of automobiles in the US years ago. (maybe they are working on it and I just not aware of it) Is the cunifer line a premium product...

    rear tailgate window problems

Yes, You have to remove the window regulator to access them. Basically I disassembled the entire tailgate this weekend to replace the broken pot metal handle. I do not see any reason for any part of the handle crank mechanism to be made of soft metal. If there is something to be protected...
