    CUCV Antenna Mount Backing Plate

Well after looking at the nutserts they have a very limited thickness range so I drilled holes in the body and used nutserts to mount the antenna bracket. Seems to work although it will not be as strong as if it had a backing bracket. On the other hand all I plan on installing on this mount is...

Thank you to the crew at Ft. Riley, KS

Crank up landing leg? My trailer base is marked M116A1E1 and the weight ratings are different than what is on other trailers. Mine is the green data plate.

Thank you to the crew at Ft. Riley, KS

I was hoping to get some recovery pics but the EUC came late Wednesday and we made a Thursday afternoon appointment Thursday morning and were rushed getting on the road. I am glad it was the camera and not the tools I forgot as one wheel bearing was too tight making for a hot hub. I was able...

Looks good. Congratulations on a successful recovery. There's something to be said for trading a little money for time and ease of recovery.

    CUCV Antenna Mount Backing Plate

I purchased these nutserts and installed the antenna bracket using a version of the homemade tool posted above. Nut, Rivet, Pk25 - Rivet Nuts - Thread Insert - Fasteners : Grainger Industrial Supply Not too expensive and not to difficult once the nutsert began compressing. I did purchase the...

Thank you to the crew at Ft. Riley, KS

I was at Ft. Riley yesterday picking up some items (yah we forgot the camera) and I want to commend Robert, Daniel and Ryan for their good work. I arrived early for my appointment but they took me in right away and led me straight to the trailer. Then they used a forklift to load the MEP-002...

    attempted theft

It's not like an M35 driving around town would not be noticed..... More than likely punks looking to joy ride it to death and as others have stated when they could not get it to move punished you for their inability to steal your property. But hey, come on, they are just misunderstood youth...

    Radio Antenna Bases

I do not think you can do that with a 3900, at least not without changing hardware. Here is the link I believe you are looking for: Military Antenna Conversion for CB I bought an MX-6707 complete off epay and did this modification. It works. Although I am going to remove the CB and use a...

Kicked out of my own driveway!

In most cases the government officials act not because of their desire to act but because they are getting pressure from a citizen aka your loving neighbor who hates you and your stuff and is using the government to do their dirty work for them.

Oh Crud! Will a MEP-002A fit in the bed of a pickup?

I hope it is a new engine and not just new paint! BBoomerBootCamp, I like that idea. I have grade 70 chain somewhere that should suffice long enough to lift it onto a truck or trailer. I might even have a lifting strap of the proper rating.

Oh Crud! Will a MEP-002A fit in the bed of a pickup?

Thanks all for the feedback. Thank you for the link to the manual, gonna need it. So a 5x8 trailer would work.....maybe I should borrow the bosses trailer instead of his pickup.

Oh Crud! Will a MEP-002A fit in the bed of a pickup?

I think I won a MEP-002A. I sure hope it runs and actually produces power ...... Anyway I gather it will fit in the bed of a pickup but was hoping someone more knowledgeable could confirm. Thanks in advance.
