I would suspect the problem is a faulty voltage regulator. I looked up the FLU voltage regulator for a friend a while back and I think it was around $50.00 at EI.

I found my frame numbers, but some were very difficult to read. WDB419101 1?141066 (I believe the second digit may be a 1.) I may take some white paint and try to fill the digits in to make them more readable.

    Any A/C professionals here?

I would call Red Dot back and try to talk with one of their engineers instead of customer service who I'm assuming you already talked to the first time. I personally don't think there would be a problem if the side of the drain pay would catch the condensate and you can drain it, but who knows...

New Electric HUMMER (GMC) - costs over $100 to charge?????

I believe supercapacitors are the future if they can figure out how to get the energy out at the rate needed. Supercapacitors are amazing. Very quick charging and a tremendous capacity for storing energy.

    Air-O-Matic steering question...

I have a 1998 M35A3 with Air-O-Matic steering. In my case, the steering is great. I haven't experienced any of the above-mentioned problems and I've had it for almost 12 years and put a lot of miles on it.

That thing would look almost new with a little paint. What does the interior look like? Mechanicals are the most important. If it runs great, that's 95%.

The official 2023 Southeast Military Vehicle Rally information thread (the event formerly known as the Georgia Rally).

I'm going to go ahead and reserve a cabin in the morning. I tried online this evening, but I keep getting an error message. Edit: I'm now reserved for Cabin #2 Miner's Manor. I have no idea where it's at because I can't find it on the map.

I was looking for one a while back and gave up. Oregon no longer manufactures the 160ATSA195. I ended up purchasing an Oregon 160PXDK095, which is a commercial replacement for the 160ATSA195. You should place an ad in the Parts For Sale forum. I would also place an ad on Ebay. How much as...

I went with Pirellis and love them. I didn't want any taller tires that would raise the center of gravity since I'm on mountainous terrain. I got the Pirellis from CSM Army Tires for a really good price.

    Finally got me a deuce!

Congratulations on your truck. The M35A3 trucks are very good and reliable. If someone has switched to ATF, hopefully it is Dexron 3 compatible since most other ATF fluids will damage seals and o-rings in the transmission. If it was me, I would go ahead and switch to Dexron 3 by repeated...

Well, I had to cancel. The doctors wouldn't let me go. I had my truck all checked out and loaded to go. This will be the first rally I've missed since the horse pasture days at Durhamtown. :(:(:(

Medical issues are still causing me problems. I will now depart Hiawassee Friday morning, but I am still definitely coming.

    Stuck brake hose fittings

Have you tried using a flare wrench? They get a much better grip than an open-end wrench. I've used a flare wrench with a piece of pipe over the wrench for more leverage and it popped all of them loose. Otherwise, the cutting and using a six-point socket, as mentioned above, is a great idea.

You can rent portable winches from a lot of tool rental places. Have you checked the parking brake? Sometimes they can cause a problem backing up.

I was offered $12K for my M1030M1 last year. No way - I love that bike. :D

I was planning on leaving Wednesday morning, but a medical problem has interfered. I changed my primitive campsite reservation for Thursday. Assuming the doctors clear me, I'll be there Thursday in my A3 deuce. The truck is mostly ready, but I still have a few things to check. I don't plan...
