Yea it's a shame it's only 25 feet I have two and mine are 100 feet with plug in ends and one pig tale plug end for the gen side. I will need mine to use the plasma cutter to cut up a crane that is 75 feet away from my power box. I need 50 amps service for my plasma cutter and not looking...
So did you make it out of that slop by yourself. I have a mud pit here in my town that gathers lots of people and they do run a big loader to help people out. My worry is the clean up that might take days to get all the mud cleaned out of the nooks and crannies of the 1088. My local mud pit is...
Thought the seven speed was computer controled. Still don't know what it will be used for as local then 55mph is not all that bad. Best would be gear change new correct tires. Don't use the truck much now but on the edge looking at a gear set change for me.
The gear oil from the outer hub would have to go through the all the CTIS high pressure seals to reach the inner grease seal. Could happen but we did have an OP that the diaphragm did leak and knocked off the wedge assembly adjuster seal. Could be the inner hub seal leak but it is not just a...
Don't know if this is the case but if the front brake diaphragm gets a hole in it will push grease out of the wedge assembly. Blows the seal. That plus as said maybe above stuck plunger too. You might get lucky and be able to get the drum off to look see and service. If the drum is to tight you...
The walking beams on the 915 are shorter than the ones on the 916 and up. It will not allow you to run 53's so be happy and as Wes said put on some bigger tires and gain a little but still walk up hills. My 915A2 with Allison HT740 same way gear bound with 4.56 rear gears so I spend a little...
I know nothing about the winch set up on the FMTV's and was just reading the thread for it's info. It is a shame that a truck may have an electrically controlled PTO and can not be used along with tire's turning / transmission. One would think it was set up that way so someone not knowing the...
Perhaps it would be better to go to the Deuce forum and pose the question / problem there. Then it can be more use full to you and other as it could get in to many post's. This thread is more of what did you do to your Deuce today. I will look for your new thread and post what I think as will...
I might try a quick and easy check of the delivery valve. Remove the cap and spring. With some help see if with the in tank pump running the delivery valve will pop out. Just don't loose it. If it is not free and pops out then the correct size flat blade screwdriver and a twist should set it...
Uncle Jim's mobile home, high colonic clinic and use MV emporium. Walk in, ride out cleaned out. Payment plans to fit any cleaned out donkey. Or motto is "We will clean you out one way or the other".
A far a the spindle to knuckle agree I just use RTV if you like. As far as the tie rod coming off I just take off one side knuckle with tie rod left on. Then support the knuckle / tie rod to keep it close to level and then remove the other side knuckle / tie rod together. I have tied it up to...
Yea getting too old to have that many projects. I will keep the one first Deuce that my friends wife gave me when he passed away from a car accident. The rest will go I hope but not holding my breath.
If you have ever seen what moisture does to and air pack you would install an air dryer. They got smart on the A3 with the CTIS, air assist steering plus dual air packs and installed one. Nice up grade. Just sold my Deuce A3 on Saturday along with the 5 ton expandable shop van. Only five trucks...
Agree Allen and even on road a good size peice of trash or tire tread could knock it off. Don't know if you have already put a air dryer on your Deuce but that would be a better choise if you wanted to add something.
