If your fuel is at least relatively clean then you probably won't notice any difference between a single filter head and a double. Like you said, if it makes you feel better carry a spare in your tool box.

Not always with a diesel. When cylinder temperatures fall too low it causes incomplete combustion. Especially at idle where diesels tend to run too cold anyways.

My spin on filters are 10 micron for the primary and 6 micron for the secondary filters. Always have a filter designed to capture water plumbed in first. Water can degrade filter elements not designed for it.
Yes coolant flows through the intake to warm the air. This is for when the truck is operated in cold climates. I'm curious as to what you find when you dig in. Inspect everything for cracks!
I'm not so sure they "last longer". When leds die they are dead. When a bulb or ballast (hid) goes you just replace the part that's bad. Not the entire assembly. Not to mention truck lite has a rather dubious reputation for failure. Grote doesn't seem a whole lot better. I could build a...
That hydroboost looks a lot like what's in my f350. I'll pop the hood tomorrow and see if it has that 3rd port on the bottom. Then see if I can trace where it goes.
A3 pedals are in fact longer or taller than most a2 pedals. Even on the lower notch they are still pointlessly tall. A3's usually don't have a clutch pedal either.
