    LT. Dan M35a2 Modification Thread

I wouldn't put a check valve between the compressor and tanks. The deuce compressor puts out dirty air and can gum up the valve. It wouldn't be pretty if it stuck closed.

    Shelter Lifter

O ok. Now I see. What I meant was instead of replacing the cable with a stronger one you go all the way and install a way heavier duty winch. Not a bad idea but I doubt most people would have gone that route. And perhaps a better way to put it would have been over built. Which is never a...

It was meant to be a compliment. Your fabrication skills always impress me. Apologies if there was a misunderstanding.

Has anyone tried to fit this pump in?

I don't see the new pump building 15 psi being a problem. At least not if you have modern spin on fuel filters. Good to know what pressure the Parker pump puts out.

I have a local hose shop that sells the dot air line and push lock fittings. I'm sure there is someone near you that sells them. If not mcmaster Carr sells them online.

Loud gurgling noise coming from turbo while system has air pressure.

I agree with doghead. If I had to guess it will probably be brake fluid causing the gurgling noise. This would also explain the brake fluid loss.

Deuce not getting fuel to injectors

There isn't enough pressure being built with the plug removed to really be concerned with.

M35A3 Seat Parts Compatibility? Better seat comfort than the A2?

Yes, you will have to trim a hair off of the base if you want to open the hatch without removing the seat. If you set the base in the truck it will be obvious what I mean. The actual seat itself is the same as a hmmwv seat. The size, shape, bolt pattern on the bottom, everything. As far as...

M35A3 Seat Parts Compatibility? Better seat comfort than the A2?

Hmmwv seats fit perfectly onto a m35a3 drivers seat base. I know this because I have 2 in my deuce. Much more comfortable than an a2 springer. Be aware that an a3 driver's seat base will block the master cylinder access door on the floor. I have a remote reservoir so no big deal. The A3...

    All trucks running 395/85R20 tires.

Ya we have a few. I'll admit they probably aren't near what you have to deal with.

    All trucks running 395/85R20 tires.

I have no trouble on hills running 395s and a 3053 transmission. This is with stock fuel settings. Maybe with a heavy load this could turn into a problem but that's what split shifting is for.

Possibly. Maybe driving it will get air out of the heads. It's still very strange that even with a new thermostat it's acting up
