This is an interesting problem. My buddies a3 bobber with a m105a2 bed and a3 wheels has just enough offset to clear the fender wells. There's maybe 2 or 3 inches of clearance behind the tires. He is running 14.00r20 tires.
Even with the correct offset I feel you may have to tub the...
I can tell you that typically stock wheels are the completely wrong offset when using the bigger radials. An mrap wheel with the adapter plate on the back of the wheel would push the tire out considerably compared to a stock wheel.
Thanks 11echo. Would there happen to be one more from the rear?
I guess my next question would be for the trailer gurus out there. Is the m105a3 fender wells wider than the m105a2 inner fender wells? I know the beds are different dimensions from each other. I just don't know how...
Get the HID's!!!! This is coming from someone who is currently running truck lite led headlights. They suck on low beam. On high beam they are pretty darn bright. I only recommend getting truck lite headlights if you can get them for a good deal. As in $200 or less for a pair that is n.o.s...
The hh o rings can leak. The fdc can leak. The flame heater can leak and the booster pump on the side of the IP can leak. Those are the 4 main reasons. A leaking injector can also put fuel in the crank case but that's a fairly rare cause.
The problem is even if they are of the same general design but the parts don't interchange that doesn't help at all. I fear that ambac might decide the market isn't lucrative enough to continue supporting the multi fuel pumps and injectors. I don't believe this is a problem yet but who knows...
Possibly. But keep in mind the roosamaster is a light duty rotary style ip. It's better suited for tractors and stationary engines or situations when a constant rpm is used. It's not really suited for the constant rpm change that trucks do while driving down the road.
However, if it were...
I don't know what all that injection pump was used on but if I had to guess there's a good chance it's fairly unique. At least everything else attached to the multi fuel seems to be.
Ambac made/makes a similar looking ip for the dt 466. But it's not the same pump. The farm tractor version...
Keep in mind by the time you get done fixing things a $2000 truck will become a $4000 truck really fast. Not trying to scare you away. Just be aware of what your getting into.
First chance I get I'll dig through my buddies bucket of needs to be rebuilt wheel cylinders. I'll see if I can find the a3 link pins or if there is any difference at all between them and standard a2 pins.
Peashooter, if you need to modify something then drill the pockets deeper in the wheel cylinders. The pins don't always come with new wheel cylinders. So if you ever have to replace the wheel cylinders again then the pins can be reused.
The a3 I have worked on had the larger wheel cylinders but I can't remember if the pins were different. I know a2 wc's fit and worked just fine. I never compared the pins.
