    Muffler madness

Whatever kind of muffler Sermis used, it was very quiet as well. Napa something I believe. My concern is cutting the stack pipe. Is there a way to preserve the stock connecting flange?

Here we go long distance deuce recovery

Take pictures when you stop. stop at interesting places, like truck stop diners and the occasional "junk store" along the road, various holes in the wall. This will make the trip more fun, less wearing, and if nothing else it gets the blood flowing to take a little walk every 3 hours or so...

Deuce brake light switch is mia

The switch that uses the brake line hydraulic pressure has been accused of suddenly blowing apart (or otherwise failing in the plastic component) while braking and leaving one with little or no brakes. That is the reason forthe change to the air-operated one.

    Battery?

Interesting. Granddad used to beat the old 6V tractor batteries on the side with a big rubber mallet and then try charging them. A few came back that way. I can still hear him "Non't never beat the battrys on the ends, boy! Always on the sides, knock the crud off'n the plates!" There -was- beer...

    Deuce fuel consumption per hour

what?? !!! geez I could have found a 250A alternator and used an inverter.. But Noooo I had to go mount a noisy diesel generator that consumes 0.52 gal.hr idling. The generator uses 1.75gal/hr at 4500W output. I wonder how much fuel the deuce with a belt driven generator (assume 80%...

    Low Temperature non-cranking M35A2

and the relay that controls it. The big one mounted on the engine. Maybe it has got some oil/grease/dirt in it and won't move when it is so cold.

new diesel smog laws in california

Kalifonia is so liberal, why don't they pay for all the diesel conversions like good little socialists? Oh, it's easier to extort money from people at gunpoint.:twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted:

The headsets are hot and sweaty in summer, but then so are thighs. Thighs are not as convenient to wear on one's head while driving.

    M35A2 Instument Panel L.E.D Lighting

I think that's a very clean and good job. I had thought about the LED tape around the guages so that there would be many LEDs there, more uniform. but the little LED dots would still possibly distract. I put a little shelf over the guage area on which the pyro and boost guages are mounted. Under...

    Legal bumper height?

In my case I'm thinking of a way to protect the underside of the front of the truck from any vehicles that might slip under it due to their own negligence.

list on components in VIC-3 intercom set

I do not know anything about the VIC-3 other than it is rare, costly, and has incompatibilities. A complete working system with radio is quite a prize. Sorry i can't help with any deep tech on that.

    Speed governor removal?

Going to 11.00x20's will get you 59-60 MPH instead of 56 MPH. 395R20's with the custom tubeless rims available (only 6 needed, you will go singles) will get you 65MPH? I believe. Someone please comment on their speed with these tires at 2650 RPM. The deuce engine however has limits to the...
