    I never thought I'd try this, but there it is. 3/4 ton pickup, 16 foot car trailer, 80 miles, perfectly balanced, 55 mph all the way. Someone was watching over us, for sure.

    I picked one up with a transmission attached for $200. It fell over before I got to it, and took out the distributor and a few of the plug wires.

    That got me once, too. Luckily I broke the 3/4" ratchet instead of the truck. The bad thing is I knew anout the backwards lug nuts on older stuff from my Dad's old Studebaker bullet nose. I'm not right in the head...

    Tires and fuel tank usually have to come off. Some places don't even like fluids left in the driveline. But when scrap prices are up some people get really excited about what they think the truck is worth.
