Please see my update on post number 1. Thanks! The first few pics are of my truck and second is Phil's M31A1. Of note, please correct me if I am wrong, but does this truck already have a new coolant filter installed.
My M931 is being recovered by a buddy today at New Castle. I went to both the NH DMV and our Town Hall and other than getting a new VIN, obtaining an Antique plate will not be a problem. Some years back, they removed some of the restrictions for Antique Plates / Tags, i.e., on being able to...
Yes, very frustrating and expensive (to ship them up here) to say the least as it appears that GL is centralizing their auctions to PA, DE, SC, etc. Us New England military old iron collectors are up the river with one oar! Why would they ship them 400 miles down South is beyond me. I found...
Block heater, excellent a I found a nice install thread on that upgrade. A must in New Hampshire as I put one in my Kubota and I have no doubt it adds (a warm engine block) so much life to engine and starter. Thanks!

Guys,
Yesterday I went to take a look at a local M931A1 for sale, here is NH and much to what I expected it was the typical condition of a New England based truck, lots of rust and neglect. Because they are rare in New England, this was the first 5 ton tractor I have been in and driven.
The...
Boy, I am getting an education (thanks to this forum) on the 5 ton truck line.
I understand there is a M932A1 5 ton tractor. What is the difference between the M932A1 and the M931A1? Or am I just all wet behind the ears??? Thanks!
Nice, when and if I get my M931, that will be one of the first upgrades. Have a warmed diesel engine in cold climates (like NH) extends its life quite a bit!
