M931A1 vs M931A2 - Dang at 57 years old I still can't make decisions on my own! HELP!

Bruce, Thanks for the advice, the truck once bobbed will be my weekly/weekend driver, hobby truck. At some point, I would like to rig it up for a plow to take care of my 1800 feet of driveway and eliminate my 97 F250, but baby steps at this point.

M931A1 vs M931A2 - Dang at 57 years old I still can't make decisions on my own! HELP!

John, you are at the top of the "out-of-New England" list!!! Of course this is all contingent on the selling of my 97 Jeep Wrangler. I can't fund anything like this outside of my "big boy toy fund". Thanks!

M931A1 vs M931A2 - Dang at 57 years old I still can't make decisions on my own! HELP!

Appreciate all the comments. I am going to have to do some additional research on reg/tag fees, but it seems the A2 gets A+++ on its drive train

M931A1 vs M931A2 - Dang at 57 years old I still can't make decisions on my own! HELP!

Great advice, yes a 90's vintage truck will not qualify for Antique plates in NH, WOW didn't think of that. I have discounted the M35A3's for the same reasons above, bearings and CTIS. Thank you again, did not know that either on the M931A2's. My big issue about driving a truck back is that I...

M931A1 vs M931A2 - Dang at 57 years old I still can't make decisions on my own! HELP!

Ok guys, here is my dilemma, I am on the search for an M900 series tractor to bob. I have found three nice rigs, M931A1's (owned by fellow SS members, btw, thank you for responding to my numerous calls, pm's and emails) 2 are in PA and one is in MD. That's 450 to 550 miles from the homestead...

    M931A1 Questions before purchase

I am trying to do some homework before making my next purchase which is, hopefully going to be an M931A1 for a bob project. Does this model M-Series tractor have the Allison MT 654 transmission? Also, does it have a sprag front-end. Are there any issues that owners have had with these trucks...

Thanks for the detailed info, but it looks like a 5 ton tractor (930 series) will be the route to go. Thanks again!

Really miss my Deuce, but can't drive a standard any longer - Automatic Conversion?

Thanks did not the A3's were only power assist. Also, a 5 ton is an idea, I believe it has the Cummings 250 with the Alison??? Another thought has any one bobbed an M931 as I believe those also have the Cummings / Alison???

Really miss my Deuce, but can't drive a standard any longer - Automatic Conversion?

All, I have been without my Deuce for a couple years now and miss it, a whole heck of a lot! Due to a chronic (and very rare) illness, I have lost the strength in my left leg, so I can't shift or drive a standard any longer. I am looking at an M35A3, but it is a beast that I am not familiar...

    Weight of MEP-002A Gen-Head

Storeman, right on... 228 pounds at $.24 per pound, so the local scrape plant gave me $54.72. I hated to scrape it but it was the last part of the MEP-002A that I had left. Interesting note... Last year, I purchased the MEP-002A (with a trailer) for $1400.00 and after 135 hours of trying to...

    What are these???

I was cleaning out my shop this morning and found these (see attached) which were in the tool box of the MEP-002A trailer. What are they? I would post them in the classifieds, but don't have a clue as to what they are or what they are worth. Thanks!

    Weight of MEP-002A Gen-Head

I have been unable to sell my MEP-002A Gen Head, because of the shipping costs. So I am thinking of scraping it. I hate too, but has anyone scrape one of these heads? With the value of scrape copper, I would think it would bring a fair price. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
