Have you thought about contacting GINO AG in Germany and discussing with them? I know they do make load testing resistors. I would recommend trying to contact one of their technical engineers, not the sales group.
The only thing I've seen around here are rocks and some Cherokee Indian artifacts. When I was in the Army stationed in Germany, another guy and I dug up a human skull, most likely from WWII. This was near Giessen during a NATO alert in 1970 and was only about 3 - 4 inches deep. Strangely...
I routinely see the 24V glow plugs on Ebay. Over the years I have purchased quite a few spare glow plugs when I see them for sale at a cheap price. However, I have the original glow plugs that came in my MEP003A when I got it in 2009 from GL. It had just come back from Iraq. I have not had a...
I really worked my SEE hard today. I spent 7 hours digging ditches on the side of the road on my property. The road goes up the mountain about a 1/2 mile and is very curvy and very steep. Every time I would dig a few feet, I would have to move the SEE to start again. That thing will really...
I live fairly near Iron Mountain Resort, but I've never been there. Their website is: https://ironmountainresort.com/ . They say they have 4,300 acres and 150 miles of trails for ATVs, 4 X 4s and trucks. When they say trucks, I don't know if that would include some of our large 3-axle MVs.
It wouldn't be too bad for me, only 18 miles further than my drive to Durhamtown. Most likely the trip would take longer due to driving through more mountainous areas, but the main thing is to have a reasonable place to have the event. I would prefer the GA Rally to be held in Georgia, but...
I have a motorcycle jack I got from Northern Tool. I simply roll the wheel/tire up onto the jack and then roll the jack into place. You do have to balance the wheel on the jack while moving it, but it isn't that hard. The nice thing is that I can run the motorcycle jack up and down, as well...
The starter should engage the flywheel almost immediately. There shouldn't be any noise like you mentioned. Don't try to start it anymore until you find the problem or you will likely cause damage. Something is definitely wrong.
1. I really like my FLU419. That is until I add diesel to the tank at a filling station. I have owned many and still own several diesel vehicles, both MV and civilian. None of them foam nearly as bad as my SEE. As an example, my M35A3 has a foam breaker in the neck and I can add diesel at...
I don't see how you are using so much power. You mentioned 5 KW for just lights, TV and computer. I have a large house with a MEP003A 10 KW backup generator. It runs my geothermal heat pump and everything else fine, summer or winter. When I run the generator, it's business as usual - we...
There are some people around with "Parts SEEs". I would check the posts and also put an ad for Parts Wanted. Check also on Benz World under the Unimog section. I've seen Unimog transmissions for sale on Ebay so you might find one there as well.
I shipped a FLU419 last year and used United States of Freight. They were fantastic and their price undercut everyone else I contacted. Even showed up early.
