Try opening the drain petcock on the bottom of the fuel filter. Normally, when open, you will find the passage will be plugged solid with dirt, so take a small piece of wire (welding rod works great) and rod out the open petcock. Then, leaving it open, crank the engine until you see a solid...
Unfortunately I won't be able to attend the Rally this year. I've already registered and paid to attend my U.S. Army unit reunion in Washington, DC. during the same time. I'll really miss it as I have attended all of the rallies at Durhamtown in the past except the first one.
In my opinion here isn't any really good reason to use real CARC and it is very expensive if purchased new. You can purchase it new from Sherwin Williams industrial coatings. Your local Sherwin Williams won't have it. Gillespie paint from Rapco and others is an almost perfect match for the CARC.
I always take a round wire brush in a drill and clean up around the zerk before trying to remove it to get rid of rust, corrosion and especially CARC. I then soak them in penetrating oil for an hour or so. They usually come out. without difficulty. If one does snap off, I also use an Easy...
I torque mine to between 45 and 60 ft-lbs one time. I don't repeat. I've never had one leak after doing it only once. O-rings get blamed for leaks all the time when the real culprit is almost always valve stem grommets.
You say that the tool switch is properly wired. Have you checked to make certain that the tool switch is functional? If the tool switch is functional the next thing to check is whether the hydraulic tool solenoid is hooked up properly and is functional. Do you have copies of the electrical...
Hauling fuel is definitely hazmat. Another thing to consider is your vehicle insurance. Almost all insurance is null and void if you are moving hazmat unless your insurance specifically authorizes it.
I have an M149A2 water buffalo that has a 400 gallon water tank on it. I don't haul water with it on the road, but I do haul water with it on my property, pulling it with my large John Deere 5520 cab tractor with a heavy loader attached and wheel weights. If the tank isn't full, it tries to...
My M116A2 trailer is rated for a maximum payload of 2040 Lbs. You would be exceeding that by 1460 Lbs with that tank. I wouldn't think that was a good idea if you intend to pull it.
Follow everyone's advice above. However, don't assume your batteries are OK. I had a battery years ago that I kept a trickle charger on. It tested close to 13 VDC with a VOM. However, when put under even a very slight load, it went basically open, and then went back to close to 13 VDC once...
For used, that is on the high side. Since you aren't trying to tie it to a transmitter, all you need is the intercom function. There are less expensive Sigtronics intercom options on Ebay. But yes, that would work.
If you are still undecided, I would recommend a used Sigtronics aviation intercom. Very small, operates off a 9 VDC battery or the 24 VDC in the vehicle and both headsets would plug directly in. I've used a Sigtronics intercom for over 23 years without any issues.
I use Opti-lube XPD in all of my older diesels including M35A3, FLU419, M1030M1 diesel motorcycle, John Deere 5520 and 4600 tractors. I don't bother with my 2008 Mercedes E320 Blue Tec or my 2010 F250 diesels as they were designed for the low sulfur fuel.
I found the report I mentioned that evaluated the different additives to increase lubricity. As you can see, several of the additives actually created a worse problem than straight diesel fuel.
