When installing an M105 trailer bed onto a bobbed deuce, how is it done? Do you simply cut the angle brackets off the trailer, lay the bed onto the duece frame rails, and drill up through the angle brackets on the deuce and bolt the bed? Thanks.

What about Dave at Eastern Surplus? Would you guys consider his trucks turnkey? I hope so, I just bought one with the intention of driving it immediately.
Steve
I saw some of those trucks on GL in Starke. They look pretty dang good! One winch model looked to be perfect. I'd be curious to know what condition you found them in if you go out there.
Thank you all. The reason I asked was the TM 9-2320-361-10 says that the air reservoirs provide enough reserve air to stop the vehicle in the event of a failure of the air supply. You've clarified this, somewhat. So, if you did need to stop the thing without air assist, it would be possible...
I have a question that may be a dumb. If the deuce brakes are hydraulic, why do you HAVE to rely on the air assist to stop? In other words, can you stop the truck with the air system broken? Thanks.
Steve
Kenny,
Got it. Thanks again for the advice. Didn't think about cutting air off. I'll keep looking through the manuals. I'm trying to learn what I can before it arrives.
Steve
Wow!! Yeas I saw the technical manual section, but never realized this many manuals were necessary. These things are huge. How do you look through them on the computer? I prefer hard copy. Can these be purchased? Thanks.
Steve
Kenny,
I read through TM 9-2320-361-10 as you suggested--the entire manual. I didn't see how to solve a runaway. I'm assuming a runaway is an engine that can't be shut off? Also, I didn't notice anything about the air tanks. Am I supposed to drain them daily or after a run? Thanks.

RE: Re: RE: Impact wrench and compressor
As excpected, a wide range of opinions and suggestions. I've never had much luck with Harbor Freight crap myself. You know what they say, "cheap man pays the most." I will try to get the Ingersol-rand compressor--and probably a 1/2 inch drive wrench...
A bit of a peripheral question. I have a deuce coming soon and wanted to move up to a compressor and impact wrench set up--1/4 to 3/4-ton trucks didn't require it. Anyway, I spent nearly all my scratch getting th truck. Can someone recommend a compressor and impact wrench brand and capactiies...
Well, I finally bought an M35A2! I got it from Dave at Eastern Surplus. It can be seen here: http://www.easternsurplus.net/images/369/369f.JPG Thanks to all who helped me with the ins and outs of ownership. Now I need to understand this beast. Perhaps to the chagrin of many, I'm having it...
Any experience with Eastern Surplus in Pennsylvannia (I tihink)? Is this a good place to buy a duece or cut-down version? Just cureous to see if anybody knows them and if they are on the up-an-up. Thanks.
Steve
I'm trying to work out a deal with a guy to trade a mighty might for my CJ2A. Problem is he's in Ft. Worth TX and I'm in north FL. That would mean a vehicle in both directions. Private companies want $800 for each vehicle! Any suggestions? Thanks.
