There should be a bolt in the center of the bundle where it plugs into the bulkhead connector.
You can unbolt it and in the bundle will be three individual connectors slid into that C piece you described that holds them all together forming a single connector.
Take them apart and you can clean...
You gotta remember the M101 is Korean Heritage originally designed for the M37 Dodge which was 24v.
Been too long since I've been around the Dodge 800 series 5/4 tons but I think they were 12v too.
Just look at the wheels to see what generation it was meant for. Later rims look like the modern...
Trailer voltage is really only determined by the bulbs.
Back in the 80s when we were using M101 style trailers with our CUCVs we just swapped out the bulbs to ensure there were good and bright.
When the Military National Guard pictures start showing Army in OCPs or the Air Force in ABUs you will know they are current.
They will most likely be in HUMVs or Commercial 4x4. We have about 9 Crew Cab Fords and 1 Chevy (Blue Fleet).
I'm still enlisted and see CUCVs from time to time all...
Thanks for resurrecting your Thread - I don't think I ever saw it.:goodjob:
I've mulled over how to do the half cab thing for years and I like the Hummer soft top with the HD Vinyl material, so will have to watch at work for a torn one to reutilize.
About 5 more weeks left on my rotation in...
Take the time to clean the housing, paint it like suggest. Clean all your bulb sock connections and adjust them so them are snug when they make contact with the printed circuit layover. I think mine are just right in brightness. Wouldn't even mind if they were slightly brighter. I think you...
Changed all 3 belts yesterday with Oreilly's House Brand - Master Pro:
· Driver side alt - 7575
· Passenger side alt - 7483
· Power Steering - 7455
P/S belt was a little stubborn - all seem to be just slightly before midpoint on adjustment. Under $15 with Mil Discount total.
With all the mods, the only way to know for sure if it was a CUCV is by the VIN number on the dash and also stamped in the frame rail on the passenger side.
CUCV M1009 (D10) vs Blazer K5 will have different VIN prefixes.
Example of a 1984 M1009 VIN: 1G8ED18J3EF168713
Example of a 1985 K5...
Back in the 80s I cut the rods when I did a body lift kit on a Civy K5 Blazer and it was not an issue with opening/lowering - lifting/closing the tailgate. It's not that heavy to close
Just help it down and don't let it slam when opening it.
Unless your hinge mounts are questionable from bad...
Specs say it is 7QT with the filter thats pretty close to 2 Gal

I understand the concern and would highly recommend a good cleaning then white or silver paint as an alternative for a good reflective base color. The foil tape I used is some pretty good stuff made by 3M so I don't seeing coming off even with heat.
I performed a Civy Cluster and Dash Harness...
Strangely, Did not have any brake lights today. Quick check of the fuse was good. ended up being the brake light switch so I took it appart and one of the contacts terminals had actually broken in two.
Had a spare double two terminal switch (probably for a cruise control vehicle) so back in...

No, I had posted over on Diesel Place a few times and another member said that is what he was doing in Ohio which is close to our weather temp region, so I started trying it instead of a 20 count.
I probably need to do some searching and see what others were doing for manual GP switches.
Is it...
