Sounds like maybe Hydraulic Head O rings leaking. I had the same issue a year ago i bypassed FDC first and the issue still persited so i changed hydraulic head o rings and problem solved. It can be three different places to get diesel in oil. Hydraulic Head, FDC, and the Mechanical fuel pump on...
Does your truck have a cold weather assist in starting? If it isn't ether assist then it uses diesel fuel atomized through the injector in boost tube. The o rings can allow fuel to enter turbo causing the excess fuel.....had same issue removed cold start....drilled and tapped boost tube to npt...

Well got my spin on oil filter kit from tie6044 and i just wanted to share my thoughts on the kit and the quality of workmanship on these adpaters......They were excellent, no burs or loose pieces of metal on either one, Install was simple and i couldnt be happier. Here is a few pics of filters...

Alright i used the stock deuce pipe from turbo up to air filter housing. I cut the two 90 degree bends and discarded the rest of the pipe.....I then purchased a 3inch to 3inch spectre coupling, a 2inch to 3inch spectre coupling to go from turbo to first 90 degree bend, and then asheville...

Sorry been outa town for a bit.....the 5 ton stuff came of a 800 series wrecker......i have to remove housing to change filter element....but its easy to remove takes about 5 min start to finish......The snorkel is made by donaldson it is a 6 inch top with reducer to 5inch....it doesnt restrict...

The truck in the video is mine...and the only way to even quiten the whistler down is with a muffler and that doesnt really work....the number of blades on the turbine hot side and the pitch of the blades give it that epic wail....lol but you could try...
