well the six cyl only burns 2.5 gallons per hour so id imagine the 4cyl is even less than that so id say 10 gph fuel filter is plenty of flow to keep the motor running. ID slap that on there and call it a day.
honestly that is what I would probably due given your scenario. Those water separator things area super PITA to find and when you do they are crazy expensive. Guess depends if your going for an accurate restoration of the machine or just want it to run....
No remove the T itself. There is a ball check valve in the bottom of it the fitting that is actually screwed into the top of the injection pump. This gets clogged up and causes the symptoms you are describing. Clean it out real well and try again.

My injector pump quit again rick :) Sent it back again will see what they say. Id have to say I bought two MEP 005a. One I got for 600 bucks and only put 200 dollars in and runs great. The other I paid 1k for and have invested 330 for injectors, 320 for injection pump, 600 for voltage regulator...
Then he is simply getting 208 out of it and not 240. As Ike has mentioned the only way to get the 240 single phase is to rewire the 12 lead gen head a little bit as is outlined in swezurk's videos. I believe it is called the low zig zag wiring method. I did this on my MEP 005 and it works great...
on a side note I too had the problem and removed the check valve. Is it possible for this debri to get up into the injectors themselves and clog up the injectors? I would think this could be a show stopper if even a particle of this some how found its way to the injectors. But maybe not...
Agreed I cant conceive the military would put something in that would require such attention to detail as not to have to dead a battery for the alt to not go up in smoke. Sounds like something went wrong inside the alt. How much did Delks want for an alt?

point well taken... I guess looking at fuel burn and that it is not a diesel and what it can put out and that it is not exactly light and small. And it is not running seems kinda like you would be better off with a mep 16D or pay a little more for a commercial HONDA.

to put it in perspective I only paid 750 dollars out the door for my mep 005 and put in 300 dollars in parts/ batteries so id say not such a great deal....
