From what he is describing I am 99 % sure that is what is missing. Probably had a bad VR board and they pulled it and then DRMO the machine. I had one that just had VR board removed from the box but the transformer and such were still present. Just ended up getting an entire replacement box for...
Im no expert however sure seems like its a voltage regulator issue. You should measure the field voltage coming out of the voltage regulator and see if you are seeing the same types of spikes. Should be a dc voltage. I know the older machines voltage regulator issues are pretty common don't know...
So an update as promised I did indeed obtain the special switch thanks to
zarathustra and his great lead on this part.
So I did contact

and asked for Wendy
The part number for S14 switch in the mep-803a is part # SDS1008821091 switch.
Here...
Thanks for the reply will look forward to reading your update when you get back stateside. I have since tracked down the relay with some help from some others on the board. I will post up some close ups so you guys can see it. I have not progressed any further on the machine itself though have...
Wow that bad eh, makes me wonder if I should think twice about fixing the 803 I got, my 003 runs great. I look forward to tracking this problem though with ya.
I used a torch with a circle cutting attachment to cut my holes out worked very well. And I dont think you would need a backing plate with a large bumper washer on the other side. But you could put another flange on the inside if you were really worried about it.
Sounds great to me those Kubotas sure are nice. I actually was at a village fair this weekend and walked right past an mq power whisperwatt 30 and could hardly believe it was running. Had to walk right up to it before I could hear it pretty amazing. Im sure the kubota is probably just as nice...
Looks great just watched the video, looks like a fine load bank you set up there. I really like the flange bolting idea with the silicon looks like it held up pretty well. Genny looks like a great unit why are you selling it, seems hard to come by them in that good of shape. And how much are...
Wow looks great man sounds like you got a great deal on that thing. The video was awsome pretty much sounds just like my clark does. Will look forward to the one with ya driving around on it.

Wow looks great man! Glad to hear it is all working now. All ya have to do is procure a charger for it and your good to go sounds like pretty much nothing wrong with you machine which is great. Take a video of the lift and side shift and fwd back would be cool to see it in action.

Here is my load bank took some pictures. I think your pipe flange silicone idea will work just fine. Actually a pretty good idea especially if you do not have a welder or dont feel like welding fittings in.
I just welded pipe couplers into the sides of this old pressure tank I had laying...
Ratch you are correct that resistance in parallel does indeed drop total resistance down. However resistance is not the load in this case we are concerned with watts of power that the generator is dissipating across the circuit or how much work we are doing. I agree though it makes my head hurt...
I was thinking the same thing Isaac. That is how my Clark is but yeah those forks weigh an awful lot more than they look like they would weigh. Not sure if the frame they are on would still cause him problems being to low to the ground but I would think removing the forks would be the way to go...
Thats good news great to hear it worked out well for you very helpful to have a runner to compare the none runner to. I do not have that luxury unfortunately. Would be great if you posted a bunch of picks of the governor linkage adjusted to where it should be and also your throttle cable mod...
Sorry, I was not more clear.
The 4awg is more than fine from the gen to the breaker box.
So from the gen you need to run 2 wires one from the L1 lug and one from the L3 lug onto each of the main power rails in the breaker box you will see them. Since you do not care about 120 v loads for...
