With the VGT you might could adjust it to spool up quick and add a boost control valve to limit the psi to the engine. One could probably add some type of cable to the VGT mech and make it adjustable on the fly. They can even be used as a exhaust brake. I say try it but take the proper steps to...
I don't mean to hijack this but Im wanting to put a M35a2 fuel pump in the tank on my M818. Even if the mounts don't line up it should be easy to adapt. Does any one have a entire pump and sender assembly for sale?
I hooked my M818 to the trailer today and moved it around the yard some. The truck handles it way better than the deuce. I know the trailer is empty, but it was a load for the deuce. On the back of the 5 ton, it feels like nothing.
I already have electric pump. And I get it want make much power. Im just looking to do something a little different. I also think it will sound pretty nice with a good pair of straight through mufflers, I would just use straight stacks but I believe it will be too loud.
I have been doing a lot of reading about how people would make more power out of these old engines. And I came across a few talking about headers. I am thinking about building me one for my M818. I looked at superchargers, but it is really hard to find one that would fit the engine. I dont...
Im gonna miss the cook out this year but the bumper looks way cool. It kinda looks like a bumper that was for sale on here some time ago. I think it was for a mrap or a fmtv or something. I wanted one but the shipping would have been crazy.
I like that, did you put some kinda uprights on the bumper? I have been thinking about doing something like this to my truck. Do you have a picture of the front bumper?
I was also wanting to but a drive tire on the front because it does do some off road driving. I am gonna see if I can come with some 24.5 wheels and tires in 11r24.5 and try them for a while.
Well my problem is that the NDTs dont last long on the front I do a lot of highway driving. They start to cup really quick. I wanted to put some duplex wheels one the front kinda like a lot of dump trucks have.
Military tires are cheaper, but most tire shops around dont have any in stock. I can find decent used 22.5s and 24.5 for cheap around here, and I figure most tire place all over are the same in case im on the road and need a tire
