RE: extensions
I went with the comm plates, because the classic/historical stuff was too restrictive for me. When you think about it the price isn't really that much more than a 1 ton pickup.
Well, the search function is a great tool, but I'm not having any luck finding any past discussions on the low pressure fuel lines. The two lines running between the IP and secondary filter base got in a fight at Haspin and one of them needed a little surgery.
I can get some braided stainless...
Well, the gang is on the road with the 817 under it's own power. It still needs a little work when he gets home, but should make it there ok if the stars are aligned just right...
I wish I could've snapped a pic of that orange goo spraying out the stack! (Forgot the camera. TWICE! Sorry 'bout...
The 3rd pic down in your last post is quite the shot, westy. Give the future Mrs. W. a big ole' thumbs up. (Hope I didn't open a can of worms with that one!)
BWAAACK!
Somehow, crime scene tape seems apropriate for our little outpost.
Maybe one of our handier members can make up a "Firebase Haspin" sign to post at our "gate".
Stupid dialup!!! Gotta wait 'till I get to work tomorrow...
So when does the deuce windshield go in the ice cream truck, gimp? The breeze was pretty good, even in the back of that thing.
Gimp already pointed it out, but one minor change that I'd like to suggest is a well marked, and maybe even fairly intimidating perimeter around our area, including the road. I've already started drawing up plans for my ATV snatcher-upper machine, and I'd really prefer not to have to use it...
Count me in with the M35. I should make it sometime Thursday, probably late.
Oh, and I have parts for you too, MD. Speaking of parts, anyone gonna have some extra shear pins? I busted my one-and-only and haven't had a chance to order some more.
Hey, I finally got the go ahead to take the time off work to attend. Gonna try to meet up with gimp at his shack, then head in from there.
The M715 is still in a garage-coma, but the deuce is chomping at the bit for a road trip!
How's about a picket line? I saw it in an off road mag years ago, but put together for a much smaller truck. Basically, it's a real long tow strap with a whole bunch of loops sewn into it to accept stakes. You drive the stakes in the ground in a straight line and presto. I don't know how you'd...
Yup, the help is invaluable. And I am new at driving these things, but luckily, didn't have to run over anyone. Maybe I will the first time I drive it to work.
Ken, as soon as I wake up next week, I'll shoot a pm in your general direction.
Got lots of readin' to do. After that nap...
Tell the hippie-potamus I said "hey".
And you can use my spare junk until you find something better. We'll look around the secret stash when we pick up the mystery machine.
Man, there are a lot of inside jokes in this post...
Gimp, I hate you...
Big grins! Next time we get together, we'll have to cruise for chicks. Don't know what your future wifey will say about that, but I'm just throwing it out there.
