Hello I am refinishing my X doors and hoping a few members can chime in on some details. One question I have is the aluminum trim. 2 doors could stand to replace the lower half of the outer trim. Next question is the rubber seal: kascar threw in a free length for one door. They charge $50 per...
After some quick reading, my 8 bolt and even the 12 bolt is not safe above 50mph. Best bet is the 24 bolt rims posted above fot safety and budgetary reasons.
My kascar door showed up 2-3 days after making the phone order from another time zone. Might be easier to go with them as I paid for my doors from Duane on 11/14 and they wont be here for another 7-10 days (just sent out yesterday) as of 12/1. Almost 30 days and spending top $$$
@ ete I also bougt a set from duane. And another from kascar to make a full set. Kascar was 750+150 shipping no tax, mike d threw in a new gasket and a bunch of freebies. I can assure the guy above, I have called dozens of places and people are paying $3200+ on used doors. A new set from...
In my opinion the doors make up 50% of the appearance from side view. It is worth the $3000. Mike dienes at kascar will hook you up with gear and new door seals. Got my doors in 3 days. 750 a door plus a pallet
Not to sidetrack but I pulled the trigger on one that has patches under the the b pillar on the rocker panel. One on each side. Does that mean my rocker is peiced together? Or is this a protective patch to avoid stress cracks?
The yard was familier with the base and had done recorveries for lots of military equipment. Worth avoiding a nightmare trying to tow it on a dolly. Have been reading flat tow is ideal if not on a rollback. Might pull both halfshafts to be safe.
@tonka I called a local tow yard and even though the hmmwv is 70 miles away, was told they have 2 trucks that can do it and no more than $200. Gp quoted $750
Hmm what I do on my boats is a concealed 4-channel amp, with a 1/8" earphone to rca adapter, most come with a water proof flushmount volume/input. Might work for you. This one is not cheap but I am sure parts express or amazon has a 24v 4-channel amp...
The 24v options are pretty piss poor. I would recommend an alpine running off one battery before a chinese radio in an aluminum can. Marine grade is probably going to be most durable, I only base that on working at an audio installer for 5 years, replacing radios in boats for decades and the...
Excellent to hear. I am paid and awaiting euc/hha clearance. Probably will be grabbing mine 3 weeks before Christmas. Any tips for towing? Best to call(no buddies with rollbacks)or is the uhaul dolly and axels out feasible? Thanks! Glad to hear youre at least 1 for 2 on running.
