If my plan works Ill finish a few Top secret mods to the S280. And reinstall the wheel on the M149 then start working on the plumbing for hot and cold running water with diesel or electric heat. this should only use 7 ball valves and a mile of pex tubing.
Oh ya will have indoor plumbing out side.
I just got a truck with no year or make. I check for numbers in the frame but could not find a complete set. So I filled out a SF97 picked a year and make as AMG.
It all worked out just fine.
Ive seen a few post were they installed a relay for the headlights. and as far as running lights check your grounds. I dont own a 1009 but I do own a few gm's.
No I just drive my Kubota RTV like a mad man all over the place. And I hit a deer back in the woods one my over to check things out today. Thats the 2nd one Ive hit back in the woods.
They should install running lights on deer. LWOL
We drilled out a million rivets and their still more to drill out. This will be one nice MV RV.
My neighbors think Im nuts. Theirs a M35A2 a M813 a M932A0 a M149 a XM971 and one way cool S280 all at my place.
When I replaced my wheel bearings I had a over hating problem. I was setting the preload correct but if you have a locking nut then you need to adjust the preload and then back the nut off one and a half turns. The locking nut pushes the first nut into the bearing causing it to have to much...
As for the state of Indiana you can not operate a motor vehicle on or off privet property unless you have a drivers licenses. DOT fact.
I have most of my paper work in order with correct documentation so I should be good to go.
I guess Im still a little bent from last year were 2 trucks met up...
Ask one question about safety and every goes nuts with DOT inspection and asking the same question about haspin rules. Come on I just don't want to get ran over.
I was thinking of our newbies that don't know. For example toot the horn before they backup out on the trail. Things like this will help us all be safe and enjoy the the greatest MV truck rally ever. Speed 15 min or so on day one could save hours of despair.
How about we elect some one to over see driver safty and camp safty.
Just thinking so no one gets hurt or a busted up truck.
Their were a few close calls last year.
Spark I may need 220v and Like 30 amps to heat the water. That is if Indy4x4 is still banned and I don't have my diesel fired heater up and running.
So lets plan as if Indy is not going to be their. Do you all want 400 gallons of hot water or 50 gallons at a time? I have a few electric water...
Looks like we will be with out a shower unit unless some one else has one or we all pitch in and build one.
I will still have the water buffalo at the rally and it is heated so if we do build a shower will have hot running water. I also have a pump with 40 psi we can use.
Just need to park a...
