I hope the patient makes it out of the E/R! If I were you, I'd hi-tail it over to the shop and watch them put it back together, might learn something.

GM does not offer it anymore as well. You might be able to find one at the junkyard although most are taking the pieces and having them welded back together. Some even add a little more meat to the part to make it stronger.

I have seen posts with people taking off the old bracket and welding it back together and others taking a new (to them) bracket and reinforcing it with extra metal on the sides. This is a common breakage item.
