When you put it in gear does the rear driveshaft turn?
Have you confirmed the linkage is actually shifting the transfer case?
Have you confirmed that the linkage on the trans shifter is actually putting it in gear...
I would hook the box to a known good 12v battery not on the truck and see if it comes on.

My guess would be that you have a driveshaft that is out of balance.
You need to take it to a driveline shop that can put it on the rack and run it up to speed the shutter happens and observe where it’s coming from.

I would just buy a good 12v charger and charge the batteries individually. Chances are you already have one of those.

I am a little lost lost. How did diesel get into your hubs? How did you decide that it was your fuel pump that caused fuel to flow to your hubs and that it needed to be replaced?

If it’s a daily you probably want be far from home. I would put the basics. Jack, spare, lug wrench. I would also keep a few hand tools and some duct tape. Two sets of long jumper cables. Just in case you have to get jumped off by two 12V batteries.
