Depending upon the amperage pull, I'd probably go directly to the battery wiith a good inline fuse or breaker. Make sure to use a meter in ensure you have 12v, like mentioned above.
I plowed for several years with our 1008s, 28s, lastly swapping to a M1009 when we were phasing out of the M10XX trucks and switching to Hummers.
We had Western Unimounts and the the brush guards were never an issue, so they stayed on.
When I lost authorization for the M1009, we bought the...
Lot of different states and different rules. Call the DMV and ask the question yourself.
Maybe the two of you could meet and go to the DMV together and get it done in your name and pay the title fee once.
I was there when our first M-10XX trucks came in to replace the Dodge M8XX series and I don't think they looked that good back then.
Great Job!
Is the die available in the brown color?
I dont remember any type of pin in the pocket on the lower brackets, but if it catches the male piece sticking out then it would be fine.
I'll try and look this week if any of the few shelters we still have at work have anything in the pocket and try and get some pictures too.
407L was a...
This is the pallet I was thinking of. Ours had 400cyl turbin generators on them but all part of the 407L System.

I've installed several S-280 kits and they are not anything fancy.
The lower brackets on the shelter are just a female pocket to catch the two male pieces the extrude out from the square beam. The upper brackets are a piece of flat stock plate bent to go around the shelter corners and spread...
I'd at least go take pictures of everything, Lock it up and even shrink wrap the thing or band the doors shut and head to the Cop shop on post letting the Yard manager know he plans to have him charged if even an attempt to open is made.
That was quite a win!
USAF uses quite a few variants of this truck - doubt they were for export.
We have 4 of the 4 door Blue Fleet crew cabs in my unit. Superior truck for stateside duty and on base use over a FMTV which most units have by now. A/C, Cruise, AM/FM radio, back seat area could nearly support a twin...
They are not at the GL site listed, they are still at the Air Guard Base at the Peoria Airport on Smithville Rd. When are you planning recovery? Work and weather permitting I can go jump start it and give it a quick once over but I am going out of town in two weeks for the weekend.
Yes, All our duces have less than 6K miles, all are servicable, and no robbed parts, most have full fuel tanks, and just need a jump start and a few miles of driving to blow out the cobs and round out the flat spots on the tires from sitting since DRMO turn in.
Seem one pops up about once a...
Welcome Back!
Question was raised earlier about if they ever made other CUCV IIs for US. The Air Force bought quite a few of the Blazer version. My unit had 2 and every USAF Combat Comm unit received two as well. We have since replaced them with Blue Fleet Super Dutys, but our Sky Cops still...
Nice job and great stance but I think I would have went with at least a 6" lift and a 1" -2" body lift if needed on the cab rather then trim the fenders so much.
