When I was young I stuck my Johnson in a light bulb socket. Now all the girls say I light up there life. Go figure!
My opinion there are more than a few great mechanics on SS. When I joined in 06 there were 20 people that knew there stuff and helped me play catch up with the green iron. I would...
Do believe if the grease slinger plate holes are kept clean then any oil/grease mix comes out on the outside of the drum. A leaking wheel cylinder is what gets the inside of the drum/shoes wet.
As far as the gear lube getting past the outer seal from what I have found it is because someone did...
Yea for a long time the hot rod guys would use it for high spring pressure engines and new cams. Now there is plenty of break in oil offered with much higher levels. Last time I sent my Rotella in to lab it was running about 1200 ppm. Reading articles 1200 to 1600 ppm is a ok running range.
I might try a mechanical oil pressure gage on the block. Bet you got more pressure than that. You might be able to cut the old line off with a razor knife but don't think you could work the line back on with what little room there is. Might try a crows foot wrench to get the line off then R&R...
Got back last night at 2300 from Denton and have your cover. Lets talk ransom. I want two Red headed woman and two blond woman plus a midget with a mustache. Don't ask but you know I am a tri sexual and will try anything once.
It's right here on top of the PT and mine is turned in bypassing electric solenoid. Till I fix mine I use the emergency shut down cable. I brought my running truck to a rally and the next day it would not start. First thing I did was run the knob in and she fired right up.
I drove 60 miles today looking for the jerry can holders. No luck finding them. If you find some at the rally grab them quick. So you and Andy are out of luck sorry.
Yes they are behind / above the front axle when you are going forward. That's ok if you never have to back up when off road. I know you are building a bullet proof off road truck but trust me if it can go wrong off road it will. I would have never believed in my M816 that I could hit a soft wet...
I put one of them on my boat engine. Laying in the bilge of a tight engine compartment upside down was no fun getting the pan plug out. Your not worried about something knocking it off. I have seen some strange things happen on the trails. Remember Oddball knock off the drain plug on his fuel...
I still have and NOT going to bring any nos drivers door with all hardware and glass. I know they fit Deuce and 809 and some one said they fit 939 series. If you want one tell me now and I will pack it up if not o well. $300.00 for one.
I don't want to get into another pissing contest or tell you what oil to use. Here is a article if you just want to read more about zinc levels or google it. The main thing would be if you start to use zinc additives is don't over do them. Blackstone labs is a must if you add additives I...
