I can't say I didn't have leaks. I didn't notice all the axle vents were covered with thick mud. Once the axles heated up, the pressure started forcing the oil past the seals. Cleaned them up and that took care of it. This truck has some minor issues, the oil pressure gauge needs to be...
I picked up the Deuce on Thursday. Everything went well. Swapped in new batteries, and it fired right up! It even had a full tank of fuel. As I was installing the new batteries, the very nice site manager handed my wife the truck's SF97. But wait! - My auction stated no SF 97 provided...
I do plan to drive it home. My new top from GMA shipped yesterday, so I should be covered up. A coworker, my wife, and I are driving down to get it May 11th. My wife will drive behind the deuce all the way home. Because three of us are making the trip, we can't tow one home. :( We are...
Yea, that is also an issue I am dealing with. Has anyone gotten a title application completed in GA with just a bill of sale? I know they accept bill of sale for older trucks (like a 1968 truck -Just as an example).
What is GA's DMV process titling with only a bill of sale? Do they want to...
My EUC has just been approved!!
- 3/21/06 I won the Deuce. I submitted my EUC that night.
- 4/3/06 GL finally said that I messed up filling out the EUC.
- 4/4/06 They got my new one and sent it to DRMS.
- 4/18/06 I got my EUC APPROVAL!
Only 14 days. I have never done an EUC...
When I go pick up the Deuce, The shortest path home is I-85 North the whole way. But what's the deal with weigh stations? Do I have to stop at them? Is there a good chance of DMV pulling me over for not stopping even if I don't have too? :( I won't be pulling anything of have anything in...
Well, I showed my coworkers the Deuce auction this morning...virtually no work was done for 2 hours. They couldn't get enough of it. It's disappointing that I have to wait so long for the EUC. Oh Well.
Polverone, I have family in GA. So I plan on doing a bill of sale get a title in...

I have a buddy that tends to collect everything. ...And I do mean everything. When I told him about the Deuce, he said three things:
First: What? A Deuce and a half! What do you need...
Please excuse my ignorance on the subject. Why is the split wheel dangerous? From what I am guessing, the dangerous part is when the bead of the tire seats on the rim? What fails when this happens? The bolts, the rib of the wheel brakes a part? I have never seen anyone mounting a tire on...
Well, I hope I don't run into any problems... I have an uncle in GA...So he might be helping me out with getting a title for it. I just don't want the EUC to mess up everything. I haven't had to apply for one before.
Excellent. Thanks guys. One last worry...About the EUC. Any tips/pointers with regard to it? Could I complete the paper work before the auction ends to try to limit the wait time? Thanks.
Hello everyone. I am strongly looking at buying a Deuce. :D
The one thing that has got me is that the vin is listed as "012521542" on the auction. Are Millitary vin numbers not 17 digits? ...Or is GL only listing the
last 9 digits of the VIN?
