    turbo... what do I need

so both banks of exhaust run through the turbo, otherwise the drivers side would be free flowing while the passenger side tried to power the turbo.

What size shocks for lifted M1008

Re: RE: Re: RE: What size shocks for lifted M1008 I had that issue on my trucks rear axle. Was a 6" lift block though so more rotation of the axle. but i had to install the hydro (came with kit) shocks upside-down to get them to fit.

    engine blow by

Do a fluid & filter change. Dont bother with changing the fuel out, just burn the old stuff up.

    turbo... what do I need

Kenny that center mount turbo might be a really tight fit under the hood of the cucv. I guess we need to measure to be certain, but at the very least the big resistor bank would have to be relocated for a center-mount turbo.

    transmission fluid

dexron 3 is compatible with dexron 2 stuff. has the level dropped any since you added? you dont say if you have a blazer or a pickup, that seems a bit high for a blazer though and WAY high for a pickup. ( I hit 2nd @15mph)

    turbo... what do I need

you only need the passenger side exhaust manifold. for the oil feed, there is a port above the oil filter that you tap, I'll see if my Banks instructions state what size the fitting is. for oil return, you can pull the fuel lift pump off and make a fitting on the plate behind it.

    (TOOLS) section memebr search idea!!!!!

I agree with mike, with our current software its not worth the time. Everyone would have to enter the location info in the EXACT same format for it to work. Use the member's map for now.

Thinking more about 12 volts from the 24 volt system...

The issue with just hooking to one battery on a straight 24v system, is that you will imbalance the batteries. One will be under charged and one will be overcharged, shortening the lives of both. Its not worth it to mess with the system for the cost of batteries. The golf cart idea would work...

    alts not charging

when you have low voltage, it increases the amps, you will burn the contacts up on the starter if you keep cranking with low voltage. They may melt closed and will crank until wiring melts or the motor fries.

Bidding on 6.2L engine in Jacksonville, Fl. Help if won!!!

RE: Bidding on 6.2L engine in Jacksonville, Fl. Help if won! Wow, Um do you need the complete engine? you should be looking more towards barstow if you want a surplus engine. Else it would be cheaper to get one and rebuild it. Shipping is going to cost you over 1K from FL to HI. Its just not...

M1008 fuel tank sender unit question?

I would call them up, tell them you have a th400 transmission and describe the slipping and shifting issues you are having, ask them what they think you should do. They should tell you it needs to have the pan and vavlebody dropped to inspect the internals. If you have the trans rebuilt they...

M1008 fuel tank sender unit question?

your truck does not have a cat, no diesel of that era did. slipping gears in the trans will have nothing to do with the engine. having a clogged filter sock in the tank would starve the engine for fuel at higher rpm's wouldn't affect the shifting of the transmission though.
