I hope Joe doesn't mind, but I hi-jacked this off the MilVeh list, it was too good to pass up for those installing a heater:

your avatar looked very familiar- yup I thought, that's Bjorn! welcome to the board, great to have you here!
I've been following your MVM artciles for a while now, great work :yeah:
like Guido said, I would suggest running 6 SA Traction 11.00x20's- way better off road performance and cheaper when it comes to replacing them 7 instead of 11. Drawbacks would be you can't keep going with a flat :(
they make that tire in a 9.00x20 as well, so they won't rub in dual...
I believe Blue Ox used to be Brake Systems Inc., they also do Williams products- air shifters, throttle stuff and the like. In any case, they're not really a "new" line, just a new name for the brakes. Saw a writeup in Military Vehicles Magazine about it
The heater is a good option, BUT, I doubt...
nice! I think the best way is to have them hosted, every week it seems like a new free photo hoster pops up, so one of them should work :)
would love to see the fullsize ones, great looking truck!
very good, thanks. Yeah, I figured they would be based on one tons, I don't know where the info came from they were based on 3/4 tons  well the m1009's, yeah
hello all, I thought I was clear on the CUCV- that it had a 1 ton front and rear axle, the rear witha detroit.
Now, I have noticed conflicting information in three different spots- the first being a standard catalog of 4 wheel drives stating the obvious, that the K30 had a full floating 1...
after calling about 5 local companies, even my own insurer for everything else, they were total idiots. Like you, they all told me it would be a commercial policy. Just whatever you do, don't tell them it's got three axles, just say it's an old Jeep flatbed, maybe that will help. These people...
well, I figure the more people talking, the more info comes out. Even if somebody thinks they can't contribute any more, it's little details that often complete the puzzle for somebody else.
Having participated in numerous discussion boards, it seems the same people always post, a newbie...
just suggesting that we bring the ranks back based on posts. I liked that :burger:
only, maybe break it down some more. Like, I've noticed mostly not a lot of members break 100. So, maybe break it up into smaller ranges- like 0-25 would be private, 26-50 would be private first class...
nice! thanks for the pics. If you have a chance can you check the spacing between the tires? 1 inch would be good, 1 1/2" better.
I've only seen one page that had pics of 11.00x20's dualed, and it said it all depends on brand, some tires clear, some rub. I really want 11.00x20's but don't...
thanks guys- you know, that's not a bad idea- the only problem I see is the crane part, but if I have one mounted in my bed, I'm set! They openly wlecome people parking their RV's there, so why not a deuce?
I got my case half back on, no 6x6 but it's driving. Gotta get me the Memphis kit I...
just locking a door makes all the difference in the world- of all the things that have been stolen from me, it's all been crimes of opportunity. My old neighborhood was real bad- at least once a month there'd be a crackhead trying to sell me stolen tools, etc., got a drill stolen out the cab of...
