Wouldn't painting the roof with black bedliner make it hotter inside?

If you thin the bedliner stuff per the instructions you can spray it from a paint gun with a larger bore nozzle. You can also mix colors into some of the liners. Years ago, I saw a brand that you could purchase in any color imaginable. I wish I could remember that company...

I don't know how much speed the 395's add, I was commenting on their rating. The 365's are rated to 55 mph, the 395's are 75 mph I believe.

Don't flame me too much. I didn't search before tossing this question out there, but... Has anyone replaced the rubber hoses with metal tubing brake lines or even stainless braided brake lines? Both of them seem like they would outlast rubber hose in extreme environments.

It is neat, and I'm sure you can cruise at higher speeds with it. I doubt it's anywhere near as capable off road as a deuce though.

Build some kind of "rollbar" behind your cab that bolts to the frame under the bed. It doesn't have to be structural, though it might be a good idea if you're into serious off-roading. You can put all kinds of lights up on that and still take it off for shows.

As mentioned, it was probably hit from the rear. Whether it was another vehicle or the driver backing into something...who knows.

I had thought of that. Or replacing the axle. Either way, I don't plan on keeping both deuces. It just depends on how much work I want to put into earning my money back.
