I'm not totally discounting the stock winch. How do you get rid of shear pins and modify the setup for hydraulic.

the aftermarket winches don't have shear pins to break and they weigh in right around 100lbs or less. if I can do the entire hydraulic setup used for less than a stock setup, i'll be happy.

I'm leaning toward purchasing a full hydraulic winch. Warn, MM, and Ramsey all make hydro winches in the 12-18k range for around $1300 brand new. I hope to find one used.
