the aftermarket winches don't have shear pins to break and they weigh in right around 100lbs or less. if I can do the entire hydraulic setup used for less than a stock setup, i'll be happy.
I'm leaning toward purchasing a full hydraulic winch. Warn, MM, and Ramsey all make hydro winches in the 12-18k range for around $1300 brand new. I hope to find one used.
