Where can I buy a Poject hmmwv?

Real and made for the HMMWV. They are fastened closed and have an hinged access panel to the stowage/rear seat area. Prior versions did not allow access to this area. Great place for trail ride goodies. I have an extra set if your looking...

    Newbie M37 owner

Was it a new kit or an NOS one? New gasoline eats the old diaphragms for lunch. Is the pump moving gasoline? PS. I grew up in Corcoran and the family farmland is now houses!

    HMMWV A2 Project

Pehaps George, they have different part numbers so at this time I don't know. I'll either blow through a stop sign or get thrown through the windsheild! lol I am organizing the parts to finish the assembly and off the tub goes for a few weeks (winter is coming, 24F this morning, and I would...

    HMMWV A2 Project

Hi George, I'll try. The master cylinder applies brake pressure, front & rear, to the hydraulic cylinder {green item}, then the lines connect to their respective limiting valves {anti-lock brakes simulator, the round thingy's}. The limiting valves then send the pressure to the regulator which...

    HMMWV A2 Project

It is an ECV, expanded capacity vehicle, variant. Some call it an A2 and without the armor it is similar to the M1114. Besides having a 6.5td, 4spd, it has a much larger cooling stack (radiator, oil cooler, ps cooler and driveline cooler). The grill had to be extended to allow for the...

    HMMWV A2 Project

I got in some brake bracket parts and preassembled the limiting valves and regulators. I know this fits inbetween the lift bracket, the alternator and the master cylinder...but wow what a tight fit! This will be installed when the tub comes back off for final fitting...another month or so. I...

HMMWV rifle rack (my m35a3 rack too!)

The barrel are secured with clips...like broom handle holders...and the clips are mounted to a few different designed brackets (for the dash or for the b-pillar). The first picture is one of my favorite mounts! Man I wish I still had that slant back! I have some dash mounts and I have several...

    6.2 to 6.5TDL?

tanner, just out view is a 12 pound sledge hammer tapping the srewdriver! kenny, good-bad news; good first- to my knowledge, 6806 is the latest casting. bad- the crack shown above is on a 6806 block. I currently am have a new 6806 & I hope she works. 5506-bad #8 {internal & external cracks}...

    6.2 to 6.5TDL?

Kenny, Once I get home I will check all the numbers and tell you what I have found...you can also add liquid and see what happens!!! Seriously, when you can, do a compression test and inspect block for external cracks below the heads (not in that order). The picture belows shows how easy it...

    6.2 to 6.5TDL?

Kenny, It should be visable by just removing the rear turbo heat sheild and the look under the left bank exhaust flex pipe. The number is on top of the block. See picture. BTW. I have a bunch of the 6.5td #8 engines so if you need parts...let me know.

    6.2 to 6.5TDL?

Agreed, but I also believe that there is an inherent flaw in the design of those blocks so be aware. The turbo favors the right bank & #8 gets hot hot. Plus the last new dep I received did not have exhaust gaskets, which I did add prior to setting in place. The answer I got was 'it was within...

M919 pickup needed at Lansing MI

Well Reb, I am very close to that yard (2.5miles) and if I am in town on the day(s) that it needs to be moved, I will try to help. If it is a runner and you provide insurance/plates for it to be driven on the roads, then you can store it at my office lot (unsecured) for a short period of time...

    6.2 to 6.5TDL?

Kenny, Check the back block casting number (upper left side above flex plate) on that 6.5td and let me know the last 4 digits. Remember that in the late 90's, most 6.5td developed cracks (internal and external) in the block by the #8 cylinder (right rear). I hope you got a good one!
