Thanks Rod for the kind remarks! MV building is my golf! I can't wait to fire the beast & adjust the ip & wastegate with the pyro's! Driving it should be fun as well.
By far, Jeff is offering the best deal! He does have a bunch of NOS 2 pin cables!!! Plus he is a great guy with a good surplus business! Get them while you can :D
defective4x4, thanks for the offer but I have way too many parts in barns...
Well, I was home for a week, did my honey-do's and then into the shop I went. :D I got a LOT accomplished. I changed out the new exhaust for a resonator, installed the 0.5" lift block with the body mounts...
A hmmwv that is maintenance free?
When you get a chance, put a want list together and I will let know what I have or stop out for a visit. pm me for details. I have a new in the crate rear bow set up also...I even have a nice new set of radials on new rims that would look...
Well I got to play for a few hours last night on the tub. I cut a 6.3" x 7" hole in the tub for the fuel tank sending unit access cover. I used a sawzall and it worked quite nicely. Then I dynamat'd the cover, installed nutserts and bolted into place. One step closer to setting tub!

Well the summer has been fun; bought a M185A3, built a new storage barn, and bought a bunch of stuff, so now it is back to work on the hmmwv project. I have obtained some parts so that I could work on the fuel tank, the brake lines and electrical. This is the final prep prior to setting the...
The kit I have and installed came with drawing, 2-90degree elbows, 2-drains with cables attached, clamp (to hold the cables to the frame) and a ring to pull on. The drawing showed that the elbows with drains needed to point toward the rear of the truck. Then when the cable is pulled from the...
That is funny. I just exchanged emails with Kurt on some hmmwv parts and I did not know it was him that owned one. Seems like another email is order. Thank you very much for this information.
I will pm you my email...
Regards,
I was wondering if anyone on this great forum of knowledge has any information as to who might have one of these vehicles. The FMC XR311 is branded as the proto-type for the hmmwv. Besides the one at Fort Lewis, WA, does anyone know of another in existence?
