That seems like a strange place for the box to rust. I would think the rest would be much worse by the time the top got that bad. You might be better off swapping the box for a better one.

The STE/ICE manual is classified, therefore it cannot be downloaded from the usual places. The manuals were often left with the unit when they were surplussed though so a lot of them are out there.

I thought they were all 12v and the only difference was the plug.

Another thing to check is the ground. The parking lights can do funny things when it goes bad.

That's the way it is suppose to be. I have read on here that sometimes the wrong wheel studs are pressed into the hubs and they can be backwards from what they should be or even mixed up on one hub.
